PokerSteve
What are you guys thinking should be our average points per game with the addition of JJ and a healthy HarryD to go along with TonyG. Add in a healthy and motivated Michael Turner with Jacquizz for balance and we should be putting more points on the board. Also with the maturity of MattyIce, a higher percentage of those scores will be TDs rather than FGs.It's just a wild guess, but I think 31 to 34 points a game is a fairly conservative guess. That's only one TD per quarter and a FG. If the offense can put up 35 per game this year, I believe our newly revamped/strengthened defense will be able to hold the lead and get us the W. Radical
For a point of reference, I'm going to list the point values of various top offenses over the past decade or so, rounded of course. 2007 New England Patriots - 38 ppg1998 Minnesota Vikings - 35 ppg2000 St Louis Rams - 34 ppg2004 Indianapolis Colts - 33 ppg1999 St Louis Rams - 33 ppg2010 New England Patriots - 32 ppg2009 New Orleans Saints - 32 ppg2001 St Louis Rams - 31 pgg1998 Atlanta Falcons - 28 ppg2010 Atlanta Falcons - 26 ppg2010 Green Bay Packers - 24 ppg25 ppg is 400 points, 30 ppg is 480 points, 35 ppg is 560 points. We scored 414 points last year, how much more do you think Julio Jones and Jacquizz Rodgers is worth?

Remember the 1998 Vikings who set an NFL record for scoring. Who beat 'em? Say it again, WHO BEAT THEM!!!!!!!! Greatest team in the NFL and got their butts whupped at home by those nasty, Dirty Birds.
