Reeves
The SEC West may implode before the season even starts.this, and I wouldn't be sad to see it happenI have no idea, but is Dan Mullen seen as a win-at-all-costs guy or what? South FL Dawg
I don't care for Mullin but if he were win at all costs this would be getting swept under the rug, no? I guess I have to see the story but win at all costs is characterized in this day and age by having your head in the sand for as long as possible. Reeves
This report says 5 players suspended tonight:MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Mississippi State has suspended five players for its season opener against Memphis, including starting defensive tackle Fletcher Cox and backup quarterback Dylan Favre.Favre, a redshirt freshman listed as even with Tyler Russell at No. 2 on the depth chart, is the nephew of former NFL quarterback Brett Favre.Mississippi State released a list of the suspended players two hours before the game. The other three are offensive tackle Blaine Clausell, linebacker Chris Hughes and receiver Malcolm Johnson. Team spokesman Joe Galbraith said the suspensions were for a "variety of violations of team rules."Clausell is listed as even atop the depth chart at left tackle with James Carmon. All are expected to be suspended just one game. The 20th-ranked Bulldogs are nationally ranked in the preseason for the first time since 2001. Cox, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound junior, was a preseason All-Southeastern Conference selection by the league's coaches.
