Lovin' all these new trolls!

So, within hours of TD's deft signings of James Sanders and Kelvin Hayden, and coupled with the additions Julio Jones and Ray Edwards, at least 3 new, shall we say, less than supportive posters have registered and began making a variety of (usually misspelled and syntactically laughable) cases against our Dirty Birds. And you know what? I'm happier than a possum eating peach seeds.

Have you ever been to the MB of a "down" franchise? Like, say the "Carolina Huddle?" Barely any trolls there. The resident MBers are doing a good enough job themselves keeping the mood down. However, when you visit a successful teams' MB, trolls are running amok trying to convince fans that their team is destined to fail. The trolls just can't take it when a rival franchise threatens their own. They know their team is going down, and feel compelled to do something, anything about it, including attempting to keep their rival fans' spirits down until the inevitable happens.

So the next time you see a "GBGirl or a "john g," remember, they're just scared ****less that their pitiful organization, whatever it may be, may get in the way of the 2011-12 Falcons and their path of destruction towards ATL's first of many Lombardi trophies. Be gentle, because we know our birds won't extend the same courtesy.

Peace,

Borat

I have a really close friend that is a die-hard Packer fan and he downplayed the Hayden signing as much as he possibly could. He questioned over and over why no one had signed him and no matter what I told him he'd come up with some other reason that the signing was no big deal. He concluded the argument by saying he didn't think a NB was enough to get a team to the SB. While that last statement may be true, I argued that it might not be for an irrelevant team that wasn't ever going to do much this season but when a super bowl contender does, and it's to fill a gaping hole it makes a big difference. Basically I was super frustrated the entire time, but I could sense the fear. Can't wait for the season to get going!!

"Ray Edwards/Kelvin Hayden/Matt Ryan/Every falcon sucks" threads everywhere on Saints Report.

Lovin' it.

funny thing is, before they knew we were interested in Sanders, there were a lot of guys on their board wanting him for the saints... now that we got him he's suddenly a worthless piece of crap.

they are scared.

they are scared.

Hard to be scared when you have the intelligence of a dead gopher and are too dumb to realize something is a threat.

But hey, what can I say...some Saints fans are only Saints fans, not football fans. Luckily I'm both. I wanted the Saints to sign Sanders AND Hayden. Those guys can and will make a HUGE difference in your secondary. Solid players with Championship experience and leadership. I wouldn't say I'm scared...but things just got a LOT harder for the Saints. Time to buckle down!

i respect this much more... honest football talk, instead of mindless bashing... good to see Saints fans can be like that too... and i noticed a few more on your board so you are not alone... i guess all teams have those kind of fans really...

Saints have upgraded too, so it will be interesting.

Falcons/Saints games this season are going to be nerve wrecking.

Every village has it's idiots, yup. Ours just had so many that they had to take down our official forums. How sad is that? But that happened back when brown bags were in fashion. Believe it or not, I'm not even registered on any Saints forums. I just talk with Saints fans through NFL.com.

But yes, the Saints/Falcons games are always intense. I watch them every year with one of my best friends who is a diehard Falcons fan. The soda run after the game usually consists of numb silence while we recover emotionally: one seething at the lose, the other lucky to have escaped with a win.

well yeah, that is pretty sad.

exactly... you never sit after one of our games thinking, "that was our game all along"... it's always a battle right to the end.

An objective Saint fan? Wow. Usually, pretty much whenever a pro falcons report comes out, the who dat nation is out in full force trying to convince us that said guy sucks. Any time a power rankings, overall or position wise, comes out that doesn't have the saints top 5, saints fans are whining in the comments section. Kudos to you for seeing the light, and congrats on your equally stellar offseason.

Hey,Chris.Good to see you.Ya know,I can read about Falcons fans hating the Saints all day long.I have no problem with it, but piece of dung "saints fans" really burn my a$$. "Back when brown bags were in fashion". We had forums in 1981???!!! "Hi,Falcons fans.Don't hate me.I'm a kind and gentle Saints fan. See, I can insult Saints fans just like you!" Chris, there's a reason that you got beat up every day at school. There's a reason. No loyalty,dude.None.You're the worst kind of fan.You are THE posterboy for a band wagoneer, or, a falcons fan.I'm not sure which.

I'm just curious...who the heck is Chris?

And what the heck does loyalty have to do with with sportsmanship and respecting your opponents? To be loyal doesn't mean you have to be ignorant and stupid. The worst kind of fan? Because I'm a fan who'd rather actually talk intelligent football rather than throw tantrums and let my ridiculous homerism get in the way of sound logic? A class-act organization like the Saints, with guys like Loomis, Payton, and Brees deserve class act, stand-up fans, because they'd be the first to give props to their competitors in victory or defeat. A fan can't exist without a sport. And a sport can't exist without sportsmanship. So you go ahead and keep wasting your time in petty and childish insult wars online. I'm going to go ahead and keep having conversations about football that contribute something that require some thought.

PS: you do understand that "piece of dung" Saints fan is in reference to the village idiots in the Saints fandom, right? Any Saints fan (like me and most Saints fans I know, for example), wouldn't get offended at that, because we are smart fans who understand football and don't have to be an oblivious, ignorant homer to "prove" ourselves.

Y'all drafting Ingram and getting Sproles ( a better Bush than Bush in my estimation ) didn't help my sleep patterns very much. Payton must be drooling to unleash those 2 new toys with your already impressive O.

I was surprised (pleasantly so) when we took Ingram. I didn't think we really needed another back with Thomas and the emergence of Ivory, but how do you not take Ingram when he calls in your lap. And I totally agree with Sproles. He can do everything Bush did, only run it better and go backwards less. I don't think we'll have to change the offense one bit. Only add in some power Turner-type rushing up the gut.

Negative, because other message boards ban the trolls. For some reason, we let the trolls run rampant. On other sites, as soon as you become an obvious troll, you're banned. Anything goes here on TAFT.

i take the sign of trolls as it being the fact that the falcons are a competitive team in the league. The more you see trolls the more you know that the opponents in this league fear the falcons. To be honest though i think this team plays best when it flys under the radar and i hope once the season starts the resume that identity.
