bighurt
Looks like TD doesn't want to risk our playoff chances on to inexperienced players, it is good to have a veteran insurance who can also push the guys. I don't know why Hayden went unsigned so long. Edited August 31, 2011 by bighurt
Toronto_Dirty_Bird
Don't know much about the guy, anyone care to elaborate?
Dem Birds
I was wondering why he was still out there, he's not all-pro or anything but he would be an huge upgrade at the NB spot if healthy. And I guess that's why he's still out there, health concerns.I'm excited if we get him.
XXVIII-III
Don't know much about the guy, anyone care to elaborate? He made the winning INT in the Super Bowl for the Colts. Made a few good plays while a starter for them. Nothing spectacular, but should be solid if he can stay healthy.

Chi City Falcon
Don't know much about the guy, anyone care to elaborate?Hes pretty solid in coverage, can make big plays here and there, not so good at tackling.
Jeff_Hawkins
nice pick up, if it happens, now we have depth in the secondary :wub:eh, I wouldn't feel comfortable until we get one more corner...if possible.
Stryka
Don't know much about the guy, anyone care to elaborate?Colts CB for a few years, has a knack for the big play. Had a pick in the Superbowl for the Colts in 07Pos:DB, Career: 77 G, 9 Int, 4 TD, Colts 2005-2010, born in IL 1983
Dem Birds
eh, I wouldn't feel comfortable until we get one more corner...if possible.Don't be ridiculous, we have young players that need to be developed. You can't release those guys to make room for 2 veteran players that are likely going to get 1 year deals. My only wonder is who gets released with the signing of Hayden. Owens or Walls? Walls has a lot of promise and we pretty much know what the deal is with Owens, but the coaches had him competing for the NB spot for a reason, they like him at least enough. Hoppy™
MAN, I hope he clears his medical.... He would be an almost IDEAL nickle...If we add a healthy Sanders AND Hayden today, our secondary will be exponentially better than it was yesterday.... I just hope he doesn't have any serious health issues.... The fact that he has been out there for the taking all this time is a bit of a red flag.... CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
He would be an upgrade, and anytime there's a chance to make the team better. You know I'm down for it.
Northern_Falcon
Here was his salary numbers before"Hayden was in the third year of a $43 million dollar contract. Since signing that deal, Hayden has appeared in only twenty regular season games. A neck injury landed him on the Injured Reserve list last season. He was to count roughly $9 million against Indy's cap in 2011."So if we can get him cheap and he stays healthy that would be unreal

Hopefully Walls/Owens/Franks or whoever they keep can step up if needed. I think Owens is done

back4the1sttime
I like it but still confused as to why he was out their so long. I mean if anybody secondary is hurting worse than ours its the Giants, San Fran, Houston, and the Seahawks and I think they have better cap space than us, but yet chose not to go after him. If its a steel, I like it, but I don't want to be signing him just to be signing him either.
