heretic
1- our defense against the pass is just too weak and too many good Qbs on our way. 2- our OC is too predictable (even if the Jones pick will help covering this weakness)3- Turner is turning old, we all know it, we will all see it4- We have no depth at Rb, Wr, Cb, DEFlame me away, I hope you are right. No discussion there. But defenses win championships and I'm pretty sure our OC will not use him as he should

heretic
go away troll....Can't you all remember the 2009 preseason? We had the Offensive rookie of the year going into his second season and we got Gonzalez. Everybody was talking about Sb like a sure thing.People trying to say that we still had big issues, were labeled as haters or trollsWe saw who was right...Unless we fix some of these points, we will be very disappointed at the end of this season

Seriously?#3 is an opinion not a fact we all know. The man has started three years, that's it. He has at least two more good seasons in him IMHO.#1, if our young guys continue to develop, we make a signing or two, and don't have injuries to any of our major guys...we should be ok. A lot of ifs, but not a definite weakness especially if we can finally get the QBs on the ground instead of just getting to them.I'm hoping that Ryan will negate at least some of the predictability with his calls at the line. Miller2Rison
well yeah our defense sux, BVG should have been fired immediatly after the green bay loss but other than that i have to disagree

But he's certainly entitled to his opinion. There's absolutely no reason to cuss at the guy and without checking I'd guess your post violates the coc

Chi City Falcon
Yea guys, lets flame him and talk smack without discussing his points. Geez-us.1. i'm inclined to agree with you on this one. Our pass rush really needs to step up to help out the secondary. If we can get consistent pressure, I think well be fine. Decoud imo is the weakest link, Grimes, Dunta, and Moore are all solid.2. History proves you right, but with the new big play focus, hopefully there have been more than a few plays put in. Opening up the passing attack allows for much more creativity. Time for MM to earn his stripes.3. His overall yards may go down but I believe his ypc will go up and his goal line production will be about the same. Hes been pretty consistent in that department. He never was a speed back anyway. If the passing attack comes together, he wont need to be fast, just bruising.4. RB: Turner, Snelling, Quizz(he impressed me in the Steeler game). I say were solid here. Wr: outside of Roddy, HD, and Julio, i agree. CB&DE: Biermann is pretty much our best depth player at de, im not sold on sid, and davis will probably be cut. As far as DBs go, were pretty thin Edited August 31, 2011 by Chi City Falcon
kschreck
Let's say Turner goes down. Who will be our starter? Snelling? Rodgers? What about White/Jones?Abraham?I think a combination of Snelling and Rodgers could get us by nicely. What we lose in ability to run we gain in their effectiveness catching the ball out of the backfield.
