falconforever_79
He said he picked us because we did the right thing and added more fire power to the offense. He said he looks for harry douglas to have a big year. He said everything will fall on our defense but he believes they will get it together as the year gose on. shockerfalcon
He talked a little about the latest nfl headlines benson going to jail and the ykw contract. Then he explained why he thinks the falcons are going to win it all. He said that we were already a good team we just lacked the explosiveness on offense which to him was a big problem last year. He says we took care of that really well as well as the pass rush. Im paraphrasing but thats the jist of it.Wasnt as long of a segment as I was hoping for but I was curious why he picked us. guess ill have to pick up a copy of si to get a more in depth view. KANE337
I've been a Falcons fan for more than 30 years. I can't EVER recall any National sports writer, media guys, or figure head to EVER pick us winning the Super Bowl before the season starts. Makes me very nervous yet somewhat excited at the same time. The damper on the excitement is knowing some of our weaknesses which the creeps in the doubt. Here's hoping the Falcons have a SUPER season!

Seems like if I get my hopes up too high, I am setting myself up for failure....I'll temper my excitement externally - internally I am lovin` it! Here's hoping the Falcons have a SUPER season!Back in the early 80's, I believe the year after we lost to the Cowboys in "that" playoff game, we were picked by a major magazine (don't remember which) to face the Jets in the Super Bowl. It's been so long ago that I can't remember if they picked us to win or lose the Super Bowl. If I remember correctly, we let Joel Williams walk and he signed with the Eagles (which was a major mistake that once again was caused by the "cheapness" of the Smith family. God bless Arthur Blank.), and we lost 2 or 3 key starters within the first few games and totally crashed.
