Falconwhit
At this year's first preseason game, I glanced up at the banners in the rafters of the GA Dome and noticed the 2010 NFC South Champions banner hanging there. What struck me is that there was not an unveiling, announcement, celebration, fireworks, or Arthur Blank speeches. In most previous years, winning the NFC South would have been a big moment to the franchise. Strike up the band. Kick out the frisbee dogs and revel in our big achievement. INSTEAD....the exact opposite. No fanfare. Not even a mention. I think that is fantastic. It tells me that after having season tickets for 20 years of countless heartbreaks we finally have a franchise that accepts winning as the standard.....and won't sleep until we have a championship. That's the new essence of Falcons football. I can hardly wait until 1:05pm on 9/11/11. Let's get a few more banners up there!
ltstorm2
I know quite a few season ticket holders don't go to pre season games. I won't be there Thursday because it's a school night. I'm thinking they'll make announcements on our Sunday night game against Philadelphia.
