ps this is franks second year, and even when grimes came in here he had his struggles as they all do, but he also had some good plays and great plays occasionally giving you hope that with some experience he would be good and now he is.....same with owens.....the difference with franks is the kid hasnt shown me anything, ever, and hes also scorched for huge plays week in and out, huge 3rd downs that shouldnt be possible to convert like 3rd and 17 for jags when he buckled his knees on a simple head fake that was not even in a location of threat to convert only to fall down there and let the receiver run free for another 10 to make the catch for a huge play and a first down......the pitt game where he was nowhere to be seen on his man assignment browns 44 yd bomb that grimes beat him too from across the field...... this kid is like JA98 the cat never showed anything and we rode him for 3 years and then got rid of him...if franks has one more bad year or even three more bad games, i say we cut ties or send him to the practice squad at least

This has nothing to do with giving the fair share of hate. It's about giving credit where it is due. Franks made a play similar to the ones I mentioned that were made by grimes. Grimes was clearly "burned" in those instances according to your football knowledge yet he made an interception.... Nearly four times! Clearly this is a product of the scheme.

its not the scheme, can we get a defensive guru in here to break this down for him please

He's got #11 against the sideline with Shillinger with perfect over the top coverage. In fact, if #11 catches the pass shann was going to decleat him.

Second, it's not Leinart. Hall threw that INT. Geez, you constantly are getting facts wrong.

End of the day your claim that Franks has never made a play is soundly refuted. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Ive watched the vid ten times, terrible throw, franks was burnt, better throw and its fitz one on one with our safety and I never want to see that, watch the other video, same defensive play call and the corner ran with fitz the entire play, or tried too at least.....franks got luck, leinart was the qb...if it was warner that was a td i can almost promise you

Imagine this, watch the vid closely and watch franks is still running full speed while fitz hits the breaks to try to get back when he sees the throw is coming out hot.....if you imagine the throw not taking place, the gap between franks and fitz would have widened another 3 yds in the next fifteen...trust me

Pause the vid on 5, 6 , 7 seconds and see where each player is....Franks jumps for the ball on the 40 while fitz is braking on the 44

Thats 4 yards right there and it would have grown an immense amount in the next 3 seconds, he was pulling away right then.

4yds is a ton, especially in man coverage with a wr as good as fitz, thats 12 ft, thats the length of a a decent sized bedroom remember folks 3ft equals 1yard

obviously you dont know the corner position to well, a good corner can turn his head occasionaly and check for a ball and see what a qb is doing...thats not an indicator of zone or man, its an indicator of skill in the man coverage....

Give it a rest bro...and give Franks his credit..you've seen Brent Grimes make that same exact type pick 4 or 5 times..Franks wasn't "beat" on that play at all

actually even better , I see what happened now, leinart was going deep, the pass rush got to him and affected his throw..... he had people either slamming into him or about to which made a ton come off his throw....it was just a terrible throw guys.which is why he got the gift.....makes perfect sense now......giving franks credit where no credit is due

He was not "sprinting" to the receiver in the sense that he was busting his *** to not look like a fool. When you run full speed trying to catch someone, why in the world would your head be looking anywhere near the quarterback?

for all we know the safety could have yelled "ball" meaning turn franks the balls out,, wtf do you know the circumstances....franks was out of position and was trying to catch up, happened to turn at the right time by the grace of god and the throw was terrible right to him..

OMG seriously, I can understand some of the owens hate but franks hasnt had enough actual regular season experience for me to be like ok hes defnitely not going to cut it. i remember when people thought william moore and brent grimes were worthless and what do you know they turned out to be the two best players in our secondary.

I answered them all in a brief summary let me say this once more then im done dealing with this bs.....first off the thread was about how terrible franks is, if you guys wanted to defend him and debunk my statement you would come back with vids,stats,reasons,scenarios, that he isnt.......i laid all the stats out there 8/8 completed on him last week in jax with garrard and a rookie gabbert, got smoked in pitts numerous times including 44yd bomb on 3rd and 20, got folded up in jax on 3rd and long for another completion.

Your two options is either A) I agree, or no your wrong, these are the reasons why

one lil youtube vid from franks last year making a ****** interception, on a ****** ball, when he was visibly smoked by fitz from a 3rd string qb doesnt prove anything.........so what is it guys, is franks great, if so how, if not this is over

find another highlight on youtube, i dare ya.....I can find vids of anything in the world on youtube....but franks highlights...why is that...because you cant tape things that dont exist

Lol. The thread wasnt about franks being bad. It was about you wanting the falcons to sign Kelly Jennings, implying he would be a huge upgrade over franks.
