PeytonMannings Forehead
I beg every one of you in these forums with any sense. Don't play into this. Don't let a thread this ridiculous get to 8 pages. It's clear what the agenda is. Let's clean up these forums since the mods have let this turn into a no-holds barred arena. You only encourage this type of foolishness when you respond.

beantownfalc2
What's your point ... the fact Pitt couldn't get Matty off the field to even attempt that many passes tells you something. Not that im agreeing with the OP's point, but im saying that the Falcons offense did not have a good half. People always point to yardage and don't cite context. Yes he threw for alot of yardage but he also threw an abnormal amount of passes. It would have been hard to NOT get 200 yards on 42 attempts. That is more than most Qbs have in a game. Im not saying that Ryan is not an elite qb, im more so indicting the offense. Turner looks like crap, Mularkey is still calling games like a high school coach and Ryan has struggled with throwing under pressure (in contrast to Rapistburger who passes BETTER under pressure). I think there is cause for alarm with our Ferrari offense that we cant seem to ever generate more than one or two tds a game. Again the yardage is a misleading amount when you factor in context. falcndave
This is great news!!! If Ryan is our second best QB they can go ahead and mail us the Lombardi now...no hope for anyone else.
DonDaLuvMaker
The Steelers game was probably nothing more than an examination of the first string passing offense because I do not see Ryan throwing that much that often in the regular season. I thought that Ryan did okay because of the fact he played against the Steelers defense but the offense has to definitely sure up some things though, which I believe that they will do. swift
Matt Ryan is a wco QB stuck in a dink n dunk offense . Ryan has no swagger or confidence in pocket . He goes through his 1st read then check downHis mechanics are flawed . His weight distrubution on back leg . The offensive scheme is made for a QB like Chris Chandler or Kerry Collins good deep ball passers that arent to gun shy . Plus power run/ play actionRyan dont have any swagger . You look at Aaron Rodgers in pocket dude is bouncing around getting out of trouble . Thats what a QB should look likeGet Ryan out of pocket he running fot dear life and throwing ball out of bounds

Easy for the D to blitz when they know you can't run.... I think the offense did well under those circumstances.

IllinoisFalcon
This is only my second post but I feel as though I have much more credibility than you do already. Why are people like this even allowed to post ? Matt Ryan is a stud and anyone with any football knowledge knows this , go ask your dad to give you that hug then delete your account. A 2nd string QB has one of the best winning percentages the last three years. Heck, how did that guy win 13 games last year and many comeback wins. You're right.....enough said, he's a very good QB. Again the yardage is a misleading amount when you factor in context. Here's the context ... Matt was on the field with our Offense enough in the 1st half to throw 42 times. Pitt couldn't force us off the field. We marched up and down the field almost at will behind Matt's passing attack, and Pitt couldn't stop us until we got to the red zone. 16 points in a half against that team is nothing to sneeze at ( scoring TDs instead of FGs would have been better ).Was Matt great ... not at all. He missed opportunities, and he left some points on the field ( i.e. the over throw to HD ), but its not like we were being held at bay by what many consider an elite D.
