He almost reminded me of Sadaam Hussein's press secretary during the last days of the regeim. "No, everything is fine! We are destroying the Americans! They are not entering Baghdad! We are in complete control! Sometimes homerism crosses the line to pure ridiculousness.

DC's around the league are now on notice that Julio is a real threat. Not just hype. That means more opportunities for Roddy, and explosive plays for HD.and did it occur to you that the Falcons actually have a good Team, and deserve the respect being given to them by knowledgeable football people? Chauncey is his cousin. So i can see him giving him love.. Ya know, that said, Chauncey may be out of a job soon. bossFALCON™
he was right though. the very next play we hit julio on the underneath route and he broke it for a 20+ yd gain because they were worried about the deep ball. he had them beat. rudy
But he was correct with that statement. Polamalu was watching Julio at the end of that play and could not do anything about it.

pzummo
You guys are overblowing what he said. He said that play is now on tape and DC's will have to account for it. Yes, it was dropped, but do you think that will keep DC's from defending it?

slamee101
Don't really think it was a big deal. Should he have flipped out b/c Julio dropped a pass in preseason (after getting past the coverage) and acted like the league ISN'T on notice or that we haven't improved?Sure he likes us but there's a lot to like. Just telling the truth.

Julio drops a TD and its "They have served notice to the rest of the league that Julio and the deep ball has have arrived" Dude just never stops. The game coverage was an Atlanta Falcons network - or something of the kind production. Not regular CBS, FOX - like last weeks Jags game coverage where they aren't supposed to be biased but often sound that way at times. People whine endlessly on these same boards about how the broadcast teams are against us. Anyone who is bothered by what the announcers have to say during the regular season should really take what they can get.

I always liked Baldinger when he did that for us. He wasn't quite as conspicuous, though................
