crankdatfalcon
Was watching sportscenter, and seen the phillies cancelled there doubleheader game due to irene. Could it be possible that our game gets scratched also because of katrina's cousin?????
KeepItCrispy
Last I heard, as far west as Pittsburgh is they shouldn't get a whole lot from Irene.

Pittsburgh is on the west end of the state and Philly is on the eastern edge of the state. Philly is directly in the path of Irene. Pittsburgh isn't.A mind is a terrible thing to waste!! the_sheff
Pittsburgh is only better than Philly if you are white and dont like doing anything culturally. Philly has Pitt. beat in restaurants, concerts, entertainment, sporting events, cultural exhibits, etc... the_sheff
Look message board, we've managed to play the race card in a thread about hurricanes not named Katrina.such a proud day for TATF.There is no race card. Ask any black person and they can undoubtedly tell you there are cities that provide a better environment for us to live in. Go ahead, ask one of your coworkers if they would rather live in Atlanta or Seattle, Houston or Nashville, Philly or Pitt. Furthermore i have spent extensive time in both cities and Philly was clearly the better choice for me.Everything pertaining to race isnt racist. Duff_Man
Philly is nicer than Pittsburgh, but Pittsburgh is a LOT of fun to party in. He's right, it is a white city for the most part.As far as weather ruining the game, it isn't even raining here in PA yet. I think they'll be just fine. Pittburgh borders Ohio (basically) and is 5 hours away from Philly, so they will probably not get much of anything.Edit: As soon as I submitted this post, it began POURING. Drat.
