Falcons Trivia

Alright we are going to see who knows there stuff today, or at least who the best googler is lol:

The Falcons once drafted players from the same college at the same position in consecutive years.

The first player was drafted later than round 6. He started 5 games in his rookie year and accomplished very little, but went on to start 114 games in his career after that, and had a very nice career. He is well remembered by Falcons fans.

The second player was drafted earlier than round 3. He started all 16 games in his rookie year and was considered the best rookie in the league at his position. He started only 9 games in the remainder of his career. He is remembered as a bust by Falcons fans if they remember him at all.

Name the two players and the college they attended.

Ok, I'll go ahead and give a hint. Two hints. They played an offensive position. The University they attended is not exactly a football power house. They are probably the only two players from tht college ever drafted by the Falcons, although I am not certain about that.

Reggie Pleasant (rd. 6-1985) and Rod McSwain (rd. 3-1984) were drafted as DB's from Clemson.

Shawn Collins and Michael Haynes were drafted as WR's from Northern Arizona in 1988 and 1989

There are other examples of players from the same college/same position being drafted by the Falcons in consecutive years.....

E.G.: Stuard Walker/Brian Cabral in 1978-1979 from Colorado--both were LB's

Mark Simoneou and Jeff Kelly in 2000 and 1999 both were LB's

There may be others...
