Our Preason Matters

Recommended Posts

We'd just chunk the ball down the field. But on a serious note. There were at least 5 games that we barely won, but the games shouldn't have been that close. Honestly, there is absolutely no reason why our offense should not be high powered and potent. I don't expect us to put the ball in the air too much this weekend either. I'd like to see that switch get flipped on by week one without the preseason meaning anything. :D

Our offense is only going to be as good as our o-line.

If they play like they did the other night in Jax it's going to be a long season because we can't count on the defense to win games for us.

I agree with that because contrary to popular belief I dont think Ryan handles pressure very well. He handles "crunch time" pressure well, but when he sees defenders coming at him he panics.

No McClure Friday. All should be fine this week and the weeks to come. But heaven forbid he gets hurt.

But the funny thing is...we're seeing different formations at the weirdest times.

5WR sets, empty backfield on 3rd and 2

5WR sets and no one open?....3rd and long

Anyways...it's early, but it's getting late.

See last years Baltimore game. He was pressured constantly and he constantly meet it with ease. The problem I see with ryan is when they have him boot to the right....man I hate that. But, Baker "The Sack Maker" may have a bit to do with that. Idk?

Falcons peaked last year, just a downward spiral from here!

not a death spiral, but ryan has hit his 3 year high water mark, and we will probably be competitive for a bit.

team reminds me of the bernie kosar browns, good enough to compete never great enough to win

Yeah, he sure panicked in those last few seconds against the Bears, didnt he?

How about the last minute or so against the Niners?

Ravens?

Jets?

Bucs?

Dudes made so many last minute comebacks i cant even name them all.

Pressure? Pffft. Ryan lives for it.

I don't think that is by design. Ryan rolls to escape, but he rarely looks to force the ball so he normally throws it away.

You dont read very well. What I said was HE HANDLES CRUNCH TIME VERY WELL. Which is what all of your points are.

I read just fine, thanks.

Actually the Bears game he had guys in his face when he let the ball go.

Your argument has a very fine line between guys in your face and the last few seconds of gametime. Ryan has shown the ability to get the ball out with guys in his face many times. And the ability to win with the game on the line. Either way, you lose.

You talk like he curls into a ball and whimpers when guys are coming at him, which is not the case.

This game against the Steelers will answer a lot of those questions. Jacksonville has a good Defense, but Pittsburgh is the best there is.

I wouldn't even make a big deal out of it if we start slow. We weren't quite ready for Pittsburgh in game 1 last year. Our offense still looked rusty. Hopefully we'll be ready for da bears, but it won't be the end of the season if we aren't. The Giants ran all over Chicago today, though, so that might be a good sign.

Really? Are you hitting random letters on your keyboard?

Don't become that guy again. Nobody likes that guy.

Really?

I read that "when he sees defenders coming at him he panics."

"He's good in crunch time, but he cant handle defenders in his face"?

Gimme a flippin break.

So he can win the game in the last seconds as long as there's no pressure on him. LOL

F*ck off, Jedi.

I would think that in "crunch time" defenders would be in his face as well...just as you stated. Chi, Jets, etc were all games that were "crunch time" games.
