LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson was involved in an early morning fight outside a local bar Friday, according to a report.

Baton Rouge police confirmed the news, according to the New Orleans Times Picayune.

Police are investigating whether Jefferson is a suspect or was a victim in the incident which happened between 1:30- 2 a.m. at a bar south of LSU's campus.

According to the report, four people went to the hospital , but Jefferson was not among them. Police said other unidentified LSU players were involved but were still investigating.

LSU officials have declined comment.

I doubt he was the victim if 4 of them went to the hospital but he didnt.

An eye-witness calling himself Zach said that Jordan Jefferson started it all. He also said Jordan Jefferson snorts blow and pistol whips hookers.

Some internal discipline and a public apology, and he'll be good to go.

sam montgomery was also one of the players allegedly involved which is pretty big because he is an impt piece to that defense, but as you said internal discipline and public apology. basically the story is some frat boys were there and insulted jordan's girlfriend and would leave her alone so jordan and his group beat them down (that's one story that was being thrown around)

4 guys go to the hospital and you're not one of them. Thats one way to say that you won the fight.

It may not be that easy.

Several people who claim to have witnessed the incident tell 9NEWS that around 2 a.m., a young man driving a truck blew his horn to get a group of people blocking the driveway to move at Shady’s on E. Boyd Ave. That’s when they say a group of people pulled the driver out of the truck and began beating him. When a friend of the driver, a Marine who had just returned from training, ran to assist the driver, he was also beaten and thrown to the ground. Ten people who claim to have witnessed the incident say LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson then kicked the Marine in the head.

15 to 20 lsu players.. wow.. that is much different than other reports on it.

You ain't kiddin'. If it wasn't Oregon, it wouldn't be much of a problem. Game or two suspension, and voila. No PR problems. Mixed feelings here. I don't want LSU to lose this game. Think Miles finds a way to sweep it under the rug?

That's what gets me too. I like doing the right thing, even proud of that. Proud that Georgia stands for something in this win-at-any cost climate. But I hate the disadvantage we are in because of it, especially from being completely honorable with kids and not oversigning (the 85) for competitive advantage. We can afford significantly fewer mistakes because of it, and it doesn't seem fair.

OK, you guys know Richt as well as I do, what would be the punishment if it happened to us?

we both know what happened in knoxville in that bar fight would have had a different type reaction by cmr and our school especially the local police. if this happened in athens you want to talk about fans going bazerk and wanting players and coaches heads on a platter.. then we would fall on the grenade and suspend players (no internal discipline at all). like i said a huge disadvantage being in this conference and how we handle our situations at uga.

Yep. They'd still be arresting people today. It would be chaos. And we'd be without half our team for at least 2 games. And our season would be in the toilet.

Police Seize 49-50 Pairs of Jordan Jefferson's Shoes

First of all, how many men own 49-50 pairs of shoes??? I guess they are looking for blood or some other evidence.

Yeah I though the exact same thing when I saw how many pairs of shoes they took. Woman claims she saw Jefferson kick guy on ground in the head. I'm assuming they took the shoes to find out if that is true. Bouncer and owner of the bar claiming LSU guys were standing around twiddling their thumbs. Lots of witnesses with differing accounts and people involved.

I don't think the police care who was involved or why it started. It sounds like they are zeroing in on the fact that someone was beaten bad enough that it fractured three vertebrae and ultimately who was responsible for that specific act.

Everything else will be slap on the wrist, fine, one game suspension and some community service.

LSU players face felony charges:

LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson and linebacker Joshua Johns are turning themselves into police, their attorney, Nathan Fisher, said Friday.

Police had issued arrest warrants charging Jefferson and Johns with second-degree battery for a bar fight that injured four people last week.

LSU promptly suspended Jefferson and Johns indefinitely, the school announced.

Baton Rouge police Sgt. Don Stone said in a statement Friday that investigators contacted Fisher and LSU coach Les Miles, and asked for the players to turn themselves in.

Jefferson and Johns, a linebacker, face felony charges for their alleged roles in a fight outside Shady's bar in Baton Rouge on Aug. 19.

A police report says a 19-year-old woman named Victoria Long said she witnessed several LSU players beating one of the alleged victims and saw Jefferson kick that man in the face.

No. 4 LSU opens its season against No. 3 Oregon at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Sept. 3.

My friends that are LSU fans don't seem to be worried at all about this. *shrugs
