Remember when everyone was whining about TD trading Laurent Robinson?

Robinson is another one of our players that had such good potential, and obviously had the skills to be a top player, but just couldnt stay healthy and make that transition. Norwood is the exact same way. Interesting that the Rams took on both.

Yeah the Rams are taking all of our castaways. And I was on the Robinson bandwagon too and won't celebrate because his failure validates TD. Robinson was decent for us when he was here and flashed a lot of potential. He beasted in that Arizona game, doing something Michael Jenkins even managed by getting 100 yards, and I thought he would be good in the future. Roddy, Grimes, and Robinson were the lone bright spots out of the abysmal 07 season and I don't like hearing that he's not playing too well.

No I don't remember everyone whining about TD trading him. He showed some flash his first year, then was hurt. I think the only thing some people were complaining about is they wanted higher picks for him.

Yea I was about to say the same. I don't remember people being too bent out of shape about it.

Did ppl really whine over that move?

They whined LOUDLY. It was crazy how many people thought he was the next greatest WR and that "Atlanta didnt give him an opportunity."

Excuses were:

Robinson played with the second string QB

Robinson played with the second string OL

Robinson forgot his purse and it hurt his feelings.

Seriously, people went apey when we traded him.

I was/could be a fan of his, at the time, our two #1's Roddy & Jenkins had more than a handfull of easy "dropps". I was tired of that & saw LR make a couple of circus catches thinking, this guy should be a starter! Like another said, maybe it was the injuries that hurt his chances? I thought I did see him in the 1st ex.game for SD. With their offense, I guess we'll all see what "could have been".

You weren't paying attention. As soon as it happened there were 10 threads on page 1. People were throwing tantrums because we traded him and because we traded him for so little. It was obvious that TD had lost his mind.

Thats what I remember too. As I recall there were some people saying "now that we've traded him, he'll be awesome with Rams."

That clearly did not happen.

I was a little disappointed at first b/c he had that down the field potential but I don't remember being too disappointed.
