Dem Birds
http://www.atlantafalcons.com/falconstv/?video_id=1111566546001...just kidding. He's fine! "Who ever has the best match ups is probably going to have the best game that day." Roddy is a class act and just wants to win, anyone who thought Friday's game bothered him, looking at you Joe, is crazy. (Or a meaner word). Sure, he's competitive and wants to be productive, but he wants to win games and it won't bother him in the regular season either.
Falconsfan567
I did kinda chuckle that Julio had all those passes thrown his way and Weems and HD and Meier while Roddy had no catches or throws his way.

Falcon Fantom
The offense as a unit are going to be a problem. The "Julio Effect" is already working. Sure it was a pre season game, but Ryan had plenty of options. There was a time when Turner was wide open across the middle. On the HD touchdown, There was a TE wide open. The addition of Julio does not allow for teams to slide coverage and stack the box. I can not wait for the next game. Hopefully the 2nd and 3rd string defense and back up O-line man have the jitters out of their systems and they step up their game in Jacksonville. Falcon Fantom
Yep. And it was great to see those guys getting touches. They were really confidence builders. especially that HD touchdown. That was a big confidence booster for Ryan and HD! Double covered receiver and he leads him perfectly! That was a thing of beauty. Ryan did not really have to pass it to HD. There was a TE open on the right. The offense made a major statement. I got to go look at the stats, but did not Ryan have a couple of 20 plus yard passes? Was not that an area of concern  last year? Problemo es solved. Edited August 15, 2011 by Falcon Fantom

Problemo es solved. So would you rather have Ryan throw a dart for a touchdown or take a 5-7 yard dumpoff pass to the TE? That's the question you have to ask yourself. I personally would take the touchdown every single time regardless of who's on the receiving end. People are making way too much out of nothing. Roddy and Tony only care about winning. Tony Gonzalez is going into his 15th NFL season and has never won a single playoff game and the only reason he came back this year was to win the SB. He doesn't care how it happens. HD was doubled, Turner was open and the TE was open...wow!!

He was at the beginning of the red zone and we did not have to go through to many plays. Wam Bam touchdown ma'am. I was just saying how Julio opens things up and Ryan had other options if he was not able to get it to HDeezy.

ki46dinah
Im pretty sure Roddy doesnt mind not getting any looks in 1 quarter of pre-season play. And im sure Tony doesnt mind any receptions in his 1 series of preseason play either. Kung-Pow
I did kinda chuckle that Julio had all those passes thrown his way and Weems and HD and Meier while Roddy had no catches or throws his way. I know that you're not suggesting that he's got a problem, but for a few that have...It's the preseason and Roddy's an established PB'er... the numbers won't count and he knows that when the season comes around that he'll get his. It's not even like it was a GOTW for him to even be seen in front of a national audience. He was barely seen by a local audience. TD and Smitty have both said that the PS is barely anything more than a glorified practice setting; just the reps are a bit more live. And besides... just taking it one step further, Roddy has already had his payday.
