Borat
Is it really though? There are certain portions of our fanbase that just think we should always have a black quarterback, and if you don't like the one they suggest, you're racist. It makes perfect sense.Completely correct. Our fanbase, against all reason, pines for black and UGA QBs
#1 pick
That "someone" was "Spot on Dtan," he of 4 negs per post. And no, I doubt the "hate" is racially motivated. We all loved Vick; Pryor/Taylor just can't play. And I disagree with your second paragraph. While his opinion is certainly a minority on these boards, Dtan's viewpoint is pretty prevalent among the black community. Some people just can't get over Vick, and, to them, Pryor is the next best thing. Think if Ryan had a bad game and we had Pryor (Mobile, big arm, black) waiting in the wings. Ryan would start to get more than a few boos. The FA does not want that type of controversy (Honestly, I think we as a city just can't handle having a black/UGA QB as a backup; too many people calling for him to unjustly start based on his race/school).What is the Black community? Do all Blacks live in the same community? Is there a White community? Where is it? Sugarloaf? Some people just can't get over Vick, and, to them, Pryor is the next best thing. Some people will never get over Vick. They are either Eagles fans or have a disdain for the Falcons to a degree. Not everyone who criticizes Ryan like Vick or does it for Vick. A common idiotic misconception on this forum. Where I disagree is people calling for Pryor given that Matt is one of the better QB's in the NFL and only getting better. #1 pick
Why you mad?You are a disgrace to the english language. Keep up your racially motivated opinions though. Classy all the way.I didn't know this. When we had Leftwich, no one seemed to want him, Black or White. This type of logic is what's wrong. If I felt Ryan Mallet could have been selected in the 7th round. I would have made this same thread about him. Why didn't I make a thread about Josh Portis? Andre Woodson who I actually liked? Sign Troy Smith? Trade Seneca Wallace? Why? Because I don't give a damm who you are, I just like talented players. I wanted Nnamdi, why, he is a superstar player. Was it cause he was Black? Why did I want Clay Matthews? Because he is White and can replace Brooking? No, because I felt he could become a superstar and has become one. Why did I hate Brooking? Because he is White? No, because is a pile jumping, slow LB who stat pads. But whenever a Black QB is mention of recent note, it gets a bunch of bad responses. I remember when Atlanta was looking at Pat Delvin, who I liked. I heard a lot of good from many of the posters. He is better than JPW is what some said and they actually tried to make logical posts. Here? TP isn't going to be a QB in the NFL. He sucks. The idiots on this board favorite post around here? Falcon filter. What is the true signs of an idiot around here? The mention in praise of the Falcons filter which really isn't real. Our players have been locked up, knocking up women and getting sued by women and for some, men. This Falcons filter is hilarious. Didn't Julio Jones get investigated twice by the NCAA. Once when him and Ingram was on a fishing trip with a booster and the other time was when he was rumored to be at a Miami agents party. The Falcons filter! Edited August 13, 2011 by #1 pick

No one wants to see Bryon Leftwich play over Ryan. Now Vick, yes without question but that's not just Black people either. 2. So a few is the majority for you. That is delusional logic. Idiots will be idiots, no matter their hue, origin, or gender. 3. Huh? Not understanding the bolded. #1 pick
You're making just as many unproven statements as he is.Not really. I answered all your questions. You came at me in a mind to generalize and I quickly reply to that. I don't mind having a discussion but when kids start making claims and they start posts with "get off his nuts" I respond to the situation in a certain manner. Clearly, some here did not give a reason why he would be a bad selection in the 7th round. If you wrote, I don't like him and not my type or I don't like him as a QB prospect. That is cool with me. It is when you attack or make baseless claims or better yet attack me. You will be in for it. Make no mistake about that. This whole Falcons filer stuff needs to end, I haven't heard TD say Falcons filter in over the last two seasons. It's only said on here when you can't make a logic point. I have an issue with that. But please, you restate what you since to me earlier. I want to answer what you wrote me.

Rtflyer
I actually watched a number of Ohio State's games last year, and other than the Wisconsin game, Pryor's accuracy was pretty sound. If anyone saw the Arkansas game, he tore their defense up in the first-half and then Tressel went all conservative. I don't think we should have him on this team, but he will probably be a good pick-up for other teams out there, given time.
falconidae
It's a reparable claim and one that was looked into by the organization at in high regard as the team was about in invest a #1 overall pick on him. Blank didn't draft Vick. He wasn't the owner then. Vick came with the team when he bought them. The team who own the Falcons seem to draft the player they felt could help the team the most. They really didn't seem to do much scouting looking at the draft classes from the 90's and 2000's as Vick was easily our best pick in those years. As for the other stuff you are saying, typical falconidae, currently living ten centimeters from Michael Vick's arseh*le. Watch your role kid. A member around here has a ton of info on you and he's been waiting for the right time to expose you. Don't play in fire because you will get burned.OOOOOOOH I"m scared, an internet threat.A ton of info on me? Really? For being a fan of the Falcons? For supporting Vick up until the moment he got indicted?Notice you didn't list any counter-examples of questionable character QBs that made it big. Or actually counter my argument that anyone stupid enough to risk 100 million dollars for an interstate dogfighting ring deserves criticism. #1 pick
^ Get off of Pryor's nuts man. His accuracy isn't decent it's awful and you're trying to hide behind it by saying well he is a mobile QB. The two don't correlate in any shape or form. Vince Young is a mobile QB too, look how his career has turned out. Here's a hint: his lack of consistent accuracy has a lot to do with him being a backup QB now. Elite athleticism? Already giving him that and he hasn't played in the NFL whose speed is ridiculous compared to that of college. There are plenty of athletic QB's who have come and gone in this league. Being athletic doesn't equate to **** in the NFL. His mechanics are sloppy and his decision making is slow. His footwork needs a **** a ton of work and he doesn't necessarily protect the football very well. His pocket presence is lacking as well. These are all facts and you can see all of this if you watch him in an OSU uniform. Like I said play making ability isn't the only thing you need to be a QB in the NFL. The little things matter, the things that don't show up in the stat sheet and right now he is weak in all of those departments.I haven't even touched on his character issues yet. A guy with a "me" first attitude and you want to invest in him, and quite possibly make him a starting QB down the line. Some leader. Keep hyping up your boy though, do your thing. LOL.^ Pretty embarrassing when a 24 year old "kid" doesn't even have to break a sweat exposing you for what you really are. Easy game grandpa.I think it's obvious that this is a race thing with #1 pick. He won't come out and say it, but he's hyping up his own race. The mention of Tyrod Taylor proves it. While I don't agree with it, it's his right to do so but he's letting skin color cloud his judgement. Reminds me of the article Jamelle Hill wrote on black QB's in the NFL. Way off base and ill informed. You are so right, plenty of logic you have shown and so many quality points from your perspective. You might be one of the brightness 24 year old posters I know. Looks like the work of an Ivy League graduate who dreams of being the general manager of an NFL team one day. Looking at your diction and a NY Giants executive twitter account, you might have a outside chance at the New York Giants organization. And while you're at it, what QB coming into the league with baggage like TP or Newton and became a star? And really, do you not think it's incredible stupid to lose a 100 million contract+ all the endorsements over dogfighting? And do you not consider 05, 06, 07, 08 and 09 wasted years? Two 500 years, two years in prison and a year backing up McNabb?

Honestly, not many QB's have the baggage that those guys have with that type of talent in general. You can included Mallett as well. I guess you can say Dan Marino. He had baggage. Troy Aikman had issues at OU. But I really can't say. That's a tough one but I guess we have give time to Newton and Pryor do see for ourselves.
