pzummo
I just realized something. And I couldn't believe it, so I checked it.The new regime has never lost a game to a team that finished that particular season with a losing record. There were a handful of 8-8-teams that beat us. But nothing below that. I didn't check if we dropped some games to teams who had a losing record at the times they played us, but in the big picture, we don't drop games we're supposed to win. Upset-resistance, you made my day.http://www.thefalcoholic.com/2011/8/11/2357101/never-lose-against-losersI decided to do a bit of research myself. I'm really surprised that there's not one loss to a team that ended with a losing record, not 7-9, 6-10, none. New England went 14-2 last season and one of their losses was to Cleveland, which ended 5-11. It's pretty amazing how consistent we've been week to week with Dimitroff and Smith running the show.2010 - Pittsburgh (12-4), Philly (10-6), and New Orleans (11-5)2009 - New England (10-6), Dallas (11-5), New Orleans (13-3) twice, Carolina (8-8), Philly (11-5)2008 - Tampa (9-7), Carolina (12-4), Philly (9-6-1), Denver (8-8), New Orleans (8-8)
Dem Birds
Outside of Denver, all the 8-8 teams are division rivals therefor it's understandable. Tampa beat us in Ryan's second game (or 4th, I can't remember if we played them first or Carolina that year.) And Philly got a couple of breaks in '08. Durrtay
And Philly just has our number... I hate it but screens and reverses ain't our thing

He's done it every year he's started.
dmo_dlo
It is an amazing stat. By the way, are you RFlagg on the other board? Because he also realized this today.

Reading it back without quotes it does look like I was saying I just realized it.
