Fah_Q
I'm going to the game regardless, but I'm just curious. Has anyone heard any indication of the team's plans on 1st-string snaps?

pzummo
I'm guessing two series, depending on how they go. If they have a 3 and out, they might throw in an extra. General rule of thumb is that the first two Preseason games are meant to evaluate depth and fringe players. The 3rd game is for getting your starters to knock off some rust and get ready for the season. The 4th game is for keeping everyone healthy and finding your last roster spots and practice squad. This year may be a bit different for a lot of teams due to the shortened offseason. They might want their starters playing more than usual to get the reps in. I guess we will see starting tonight.

Master Exploder
I expect them to play quite a bit. If I recall correctly, I believe last season the coaches kept the starters in until the 2nd half in the 1st Pre-Season game last season. Peyton
Except for Julio Jones, I am actually much more interested in seeing the second team.
muskokas finest ©
If the offense doesn't score on the first possession, they should come out for a second series.
hardenmj
Someone mentioned that the third preseason game is the one where the starters play the most. This is absolutely true and I am excited for who we got in that third preseason game. We are back in Pittsburgh and I am excited to see our offense go against that defense on the road. Granted the playcalling will be very plain as we will save most of our stuff for the regular season, but it still should be a good indicator of where we stand as our starters will most likely play into the second half.
