"I know the kid is a good man because if he wasn't this organization wouldn't have him. I don't think Raheem or Dominik would put themselves in a position to be tarnished because they're building something special. And I think this kid will help them build something special. I'm going to put my chips over with Talib on this one."

He attacked another player at the combine.

He used his helmet as a weapon and hit his own teammate, Penn.

He punched a cab driver in the head.

He verbally assaulted a ref after a game, right in front of Goodell.

He pistol-whipped and shot at a man as he ran away, allegedly.

Yep, sounds like a 'good man' to me.

Yards are like you d**k super swamper. Nobody cares about it except you!

Points, scoring, that's where it counts on the scoreboard. The Falcons were 5th best in both... B)

And in points scored they are closer to the # 23 ranked team than the 1st, so don't let that # 5 ranking fool you. OOPS!! too late!!!

And you were only 1.4 points more per game than Dallas, who were led by Jon Kitna. and only .3 ahead of Oakland, who were led by...wait a minute, who were they led by?

truth is harsh to homers

Also worthy of note is the Falcons #5 scoring D at 288. 414-288=126. Our point differential is probably among the tops in the league.

I know the 48-21 loss, or 27 points, represented the biggest differential in the 2011 playoffs too.

IT'S LIKE GETTING KILLED BY A GUN.

IT DON'T MATTER IF YOU GET KILLED BY

ONE BULLET OR 48 BULLETS. EITHER

WAY ... YOU'RE A GONER. BUT I KNOW,

YOUR LOSS WAS BETTER THAN OUR LOSS. B)

I GUESS ... ANYTHING THAT LEAVES YOU ON TOP.

The #2 team had 441 points. Which is a full 27 points ahead of the Falcons. Also worthy of note is the Falcons #5 scoring D at 288. 414-288=126 Saints 384-307=74. Our point differential is probably among the tops in the league.

Someone pointed out that, once you subtract pick-6's, TD's from fumbles and special teams scores that the Saints D actually gave up something like 2 points less than the Falcons D. I mean, so long as we're splitting hairs ;)

The high scoring ranking was more due to how well the Falcons' special teams played last year. Special teams usually has bigger drop offs/gains from year to year for teams... plus with the new kickoff rule, the Falcons won't have an as much of an advantage over the bad special teams units.

Really have no idea how Falcons fans can expect both their offense and defense to be ranked so high in scoring again this year when they clearly were average at best most of the season. They have a long way to improve across the board to get back to those rankings.

I remember the Saints having the 3rd highest scoring offense in 2002 despite ranking 19th in total yards... this was due to a number of good special teams returns that year. Of course they finished 14th in ppg the following year even though the offense improved to 11th in yards per game.

When you break it down, this is where the Falcons ranked offensively & defensively:

Offensive rushing yards per play: 4 way tie for 25th

Offensive passing rating per game: 2 way tie for 10th

26th overall in yards per play gained

Defensive rushing yards allowed per play: 3 way tie for 25th

Defensive passer rating allowed per game: 14th

27th overall in yards per play allowed
