JOEinPHX
Got in my car this morning, turned on the radio and dialed up ESPN. Colin Cowherd was on and the very first thing I heard was "Roddy White out for the season".It turned out he was in the middle of a hypothetical about how many teams would crash-and-burn if they lost a key player. It was my bad luck to tune in at exactly the wrong moment - I almost drove into my neighbor's yard. Then I started thinking. The Falcons could probably absorb that kind of loss and still be successful. Last year it would have been apocalyptic, this year, not so much. There's good depth and variety now at all the skill positions. Kudos to TD.

blackredfellow
That happened to me when Vick broke his leg (I know, I know, Im just sayin'). Heard it on the radio in my car, and sat there stewing for at least 10 minutes.

paulitik
I would have been on the first plane to new orleans summoning my inner Jeff Gillooly ready to go Nancy Kerrigan on Drew Brees' knee if we lost Roddy, Matt, or Turner for any length of time. I can't live through another 2009. No sir. If any of our guys go down, one of theirs go down.(kidding)

Somehow my wife knew it was something Falcon related, even from another room.
Tandy
That happened to me when Vick broke his leg (I know, I know, Im just sayin'). Heard it on the radio in my car, and sat there stewing for at least 10 minutes.I was shell-shocked with disbelief when that happened. I was at the game - and didn't really know the deal until afterwards, but I knew it was really bad. I hate to admit this - but I cried. The game against Green Bay had me believing we were invincible with Vick at the helm, then Philly destroyed me. I spent all offseason angry and upset - and couldn't wait for the new year to begin. When the schedule came out - I had this huge red and black circle drawn around week 9 with the letters- R.E.V.E.N.G.E.!!! I just knew this would be the year that Vick broke out and took us to the SB as we were so expecting.I had a seething hatred for the Ravens for a long time. Eventually got over it, but I will admit, I've hated seeing them in preseason since then. Odd coincidence about this year and Vick: This is Vick's 3rd year with the Iggles, after not really playing the 1st year and then having a record breaking, pro-bowl run in his 2nd year, and going into the 3rd year with expectations of a SB run. Their first preseason game is against the Ravens. Sound familiar?

Tandy
Not saying that you're wishing bad things on YKW, but... ;-)No, I honestly don't, I was just pointing out the extremely eerie series of events in his 2 beginnings with a team.I had already noted the similarities in the first couple of years, then when I saw who they played in their first preseason game, I went Whoa! Just seemed like deja vu' all over again. That, in no way, implies that I hope or even think that something happens to him in preseason, just that it was eerily similar. Roddy would be irreplaceable, but we could probably pick up Finneran, Moss or even T.O. to fill in his absence. Hate to even thinking about that.
