FalconFanForLife
Well I don't get into that whole respect thing so many of our fans are into. You get what you get when you earn it in the NFL.But, as the NFC South Champs, the holders of 3 consecutive winning seasons, and 2 playoff games in the past 3 years, the people outside our family can see we are a very serious contender. So yes, if respect is what we crave, we have finally earned some. Now we have to continue to earn it.BTW outside the whole respect thing this year, can we avoid all that "fly under the radar" garbage?LOL no more of that for this team. We have always wanted to run with the NFL Elite, and now we are finally there, so the spotlight is on us.Get ready for heady praise when we win, and scorching criticism when we do not. raysnill1
I guess 6 is cool for now because all people can go by is what's on paper and on paper a lot of teams look good. I think we're gonna play better than we did last season because we improved on areas we were weak in and besides when a 13-3 team can return 19 of 22 starters that's a very good thing no matter how you slice it up

vel
What I like most is how knowledgeable they both are. I did not know the Eagles had new OLine AND DLine coaches. But now that I think about it, their OLine coach is their DC now, Babin came with his DLine coach. Man, they is a lot of change up there. Quarterback
It's a preseason ranking...we'll know for sure how we rank after the first 5 games that includes 4 playoff teams from last year and one that was almost good enough to qualify in Tampa!Scary start to the season... Quarterback
That may be true, but other teams improved more. But it's all on paper right now though. It's always harder to improve when you're already the best! It's much easier to improve when you get beat by a 7-9 team in the playoffs! raysnill1
That may be true, but other teams improved more. But it's all on paper right now though.how can you improve more than returning 19 of 22 starters? that's 19 guys who are on the same page out the gate, no explanation needed. whereas other teams may have gotten better talent at positions but that talent has to be worked into the system, gel with their teammates and learn plays & schemes. 2 of the starters we replaced weren't that productive in the first place AND we got better talent in their place. Dahl and Jenkins are the only two starters that are gone that I can think of. Biermann lost his starting job, but he still would count as returning this season. The fact that we have somebody new starting over him is a good thing. The fact that he's returning this year is also good because he's quality depth/rotation.When you say a team lost 3 starters from the previous year, it's because they are no longer with the team. Am I missing anyone? Unless you are counting Keonen, but then we'd be returning 22 out of 25 starters (Bryant, Weems).

I just can't see how somebody could think there were teams that improved better than that. guess I'm dumber than I thought

It's much easier to improve when you get beat by a 7-9 team in the playoffs! Lol, like a wise man once said, if you are not improving, you are getting worse...or something like that. If I would say anything bad about the offseason of your team, it would be that your depth did not improve.how can you improve more than returning 19 of 22 starters? that's 19 guys who are on the same page out the gate, no explanation needed. whereas other teams may have gotten better talent at positions but that talent has to be worked into the system, gel with their teammates and learn plays & schemes. 2 of the starters we replaced weren't that productive in the first place AND we got better talent in their place.Just because they are a starter doesn't mean that they are worth sH*t. Some of those "returning starters" could have been upgraded like the starting Free Safety and the starting slot receiver. Like who?The teams above you on that list. If we're bad enough to be ranked 32, I would be well aware of our problems and would as always care more about how the team is performing, than caring at all about some meaningless ranking.
