wartownfalcon
Maybe offering a trade for Snelling since their rookie just went down for the year? Edited August 9, 2011 by wartownfalcon

birdz4i
no thanks. snell can fill in if something were to happen to turner, rodgers or ovie.
Twoism
It would be tempting... but think about how much safer we would be with Snelling solidly backing up Turner and still having Rodgers as the third guy.
wartownfalcon
What would the going draft pic be for him? 2nd or 3rd
Twoism
What would the going draft pic be for him? 2nd or 3rdHe would go for no less a 3rd. I'd say 2nd. Anything less than 3rd is insane. Wouldn't mind a 1st...
wartownfalcon
That is my thought. I'd rather have a proven backup and maybe if Quizz shows something maybe shop Snell next year.

CHOCTHEFALCONFAN™
What would the going draft pic be for him? 2nd or 3rd Definitely not a 2nd.....I don't even think a 3rd will do....Probably a Fourth round pick.
muskokas finest ©
If only Snelling had waited a little longer to sign, then the choice might have been his to make.

That is definitely stretching it. A 3rd is probably the absolute most he would go for.
Califalconfan84
Snelling for Suh?Yea there gonna do that?!?! Think before you speak. Plus with Jerry playing top of his game again it would be a waste of money to pay the guy.
Borat
He would go for no less a 3rd. I'd say 2nd. Anything less than 3rd is insane. Wouldn't mind a 1st... We'd get a 5th at most. Remember, this is the guy who had to return to his old team on a 1 year deal cause no one wanted him.

Plus with Jerry playing top of his game again it would be a waste of money to pay the guy. There's not a player in the league they would trade Suh for. He was obviously joking. Think before you speak. And Jerry is still below Peters on the depth chart, so I wouldn't exactly describe his current performance to be "at the top of his game." GEORGIAfan
I'll take that hahayall gotta be smoking to even consider that. No way that is even on the table.
Tallahassee
No way we trade Snelling. With the pick of Julio Jones, we are trying to win now, and a proven backup in Snelling will be important....
wartownfalcon
Dude it was a joke. Like they would be that stupid. But it is the Lions. Haha
CDuB2009
We'd get a 5th at most. Remember, this is the guy who had to return to his old team on a 1 year deal cause no one wanted him.I don't think it was necessarily that no one wanted him so much as it was him wanting to be relied upon a little more than he was here. NYG was interested but he would have been the backup to Bradshaw, and the situation was the same in St. Louis. I would have made the same choice. Twoism
Considering the potential desperation we'd be talking about? 3rd is not out of the question for a solid back-up who wouldn't mind playing elsewhere if it meant more playing time and more money in the not so distant future. The Dirty Bird
Snelling for Suh?I can't believe this got +4.All jokes aside, Snelling could not get a 1 year deal from anyone on the open market. What makes anyone here think a team would give a 3rd round pick for him? That's laughable.I thought we could trade him to Detroit as well, but I was expecting a more realistic late round pick and then we could sign a veteran RB like Jerome Harrison. We aren't getting anything good for Snelling -- maybe we could get a WR like Derrick Williams to compete for the slot, or a DT like Sammie Lee Hill because the Lions have Suh, Fairley, Corey Williams and Andre Fluellen. I'd like SLH on the team, he's very athletic and is a better version of Trey Lewis -- we could use the depth there.

Not to mention that obviously teams don't value Snelling as much as we do seeing as he didn't get any offers while he tested out Free Agency. No one can ever crack a smile while reading the message boards. Snelling for Suh will never happen. It was meant to be said to bring a smile to peoples faces in good spirit. I am sorry for joking around and saying something totally out of line where the "Big Boys" talk. Forgive me Falcon fans, I am really truly sorry.
