FalconofShadows
http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4287/jason-snellingFree agent RB Jason Snelling has an offer on the table from the Falcons. It appears the Falcons have given Snelling an open invitation to return as he scours the market. He's drawn interest from the Rams, Giants and Chiefs this summer, but all three teams ended up going in another direction. The Falcons may be Snelling's only viable landing spot at this point. HouseofEuphoria
What could he possibly be waiting on?The only FA openings left at RB are 2nd and 3rd string options on horrible teams.Maybe he wants to be the 3rd string RB on a 3-13 Miami team? Come on home to the ATL, Snelling. The sooner the better.
falken
He could be waiting on an injury in another camp to make himself worth more. My guess is that he has turned some offers down. (Just my guess) I hope our offer has a timetable. Sooner or later an injury will happen during the preseason and a team will make him an offer he wants. Interceptor430
It's all about Greed of $'s, which can pay them more than any SB game/ring.Ever see most of the Defense or Offense sit on their azzes when the Defense or Offense is trying to make a runs/big plays/win the game? If not, pay attention. Most are just after their contract 'check'.

Guest Gritz
I'd like to see him back but I hardly think he's the key to our season......and I'm not even mad at him for checking out the market. I'd do the same thing.Falcons will be fine either way.
JDaveG
Gotta be about $$$. At some point he has to realize the market isn't on his side based on what he's asking and get realistic.Either that or he'll sit a year or end up on a scrub team as a workhorse for less money than we'd be willing to pay him. youngbloodz
Can't fault him for wanting to get paid. We all want to get paid.
DUB
he needs to sign with us. if an injury happens he could be traded and end up in very good situation. Sitting around however is not good.

The Falcons may be Snelling's only viable landing spot at this point. The Falcons might have given Snelling a tender offer at 110% of his 2010 base salary of $1.7m to obtain exclusive rights to him through the middle of the regular season. They might have also offered him vet minimum of $675,000, for a 4 to 6 year vet under the new CBA, which would have given them no exclusive rights to him. peoriabird
Can't fault him for wanting to get paid. We all want to get paid.Paid? Get paid what? Do y'all really think that Snelling is expecting a big pay day when vets like Ronnie Brown have taken the Vet minimum? Guys that have actually accomplish something are accepting much less than their prior market value and Y'all think that Snelling is holding out for some big pay day. Y'all are naive! The market sets your value and it is what it is. The fact is....Snelling's value is that of a low end 2nd string to 3rhigh end 3rd string running back and that's it. If he resigns with the Falcons Great, if not oh well. Either way it will have no impact on the the Falcon's up coming season.

Falcons Win
Just come on back Jason, it's time, you tried, this was not a good year to be a FA RB. The market is STILL saturated.
Quizztorris
It seems odd that he made a big stink about wanting to go somewhere else to become a starter, yet he's interviewing with teams like St. Louis, and KC who both have pro bowl running backs that he has no chance of beating out. I do feel like Snelling is important to our offense just because we haven't seen what Quizz can do at gametime yet. Plus if either turner or quizz goes down he can fill both their roles to some extent.
prolikewhoa
Blood in, blood out. You're not leaving, Snelling.
JRid
It's a little weird that we obviously want him back, but are just letting him go out and look around for as long as he wants. Meanwhile all the other decent backs are gone so if he signs with someone else then we will be struggling to find someone to replace him. I feel like his main thing is that he wants more carries and at this point he is more than likely waiting for another RB to get injured so someone will need him to step in and take more carries than he will get here. Realsurfin
It gets to a point you got to stop kissing his butt when he thinks the world is better somewhere else. Snelling is either on the bus or off the bus... but sooner or later the bus is going to leave the station... and if he isn't on it.. OH WELL!There are other players that probably would not mind being a FALCON... this is not your daddies Falcon team Snelling.realsurfin
The Falcon Jedi Knight
The good news is, Snelling found out he is worth about 1 bag of dorito chips to the rest of the NFL. If I were the Falcons I would offer up some Lays Sour Cream & Onion and a pack of Hot & Spicy Peanuts (2 for $1), and see what he says. He's knows our system, is a great blocker for Turner, and looked more than adequate carrying the load, in a couple of those games when The Burner was hurt (and you can never tell when that might happen again). Hope he'll take our offer, and get back in the foal, where he belongs. JMO.GO, YOU DIRTY BIRDS!!! FalconJim.
txfalconfan
He'll come back guys. He was just trying to get the most money that he could. I don't blame him either. These guys get beat up day in and day out. He just wants to make sure that he is financially secure before his body breaks down on him. He'll be back with us though and I hope he gets more than he was making before, peanuts in comparison to other players.
