ESPN new QB Rating

I am actually impressed by this new rating system, it may not be perfect, but it is much better than the old school passer rating. I was actually surprised to see that in the Top 10 QBRs in 2010, Matt Ryan finished 3rd behind Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, beating out Aaron Rodgers. Vick finished 5th and Brees in 6th place.

I've seen Packer fans say how Rodgers should be higher than Ryan and others say that too, but my guess is that they're only remembering the end of the season when he was balling. Also, they probably don't watch Ryan much and see how efficient and clutch he is (which this scale weighs).

Rodgers had an 86 QBR during the post-season that as explained by Mike Tirico, Jaws and Gruden, it is ridiculously high. Anything above 75 during the whole season is an MVP candidate, Brady had a 75 during the 2010 regular season, Manning had a 69 and Ryan had a 68. Rodgers and Vick were not too far behind with 67 and 66 each. I am rounding up cause I do not remember the decimal points they had, but do remember the numbers. People need to understand this is for the regular season, but I was actually pleasantly surprised that Ryan was Top 3 behind Brady and Manning.
