Regarding Julio Jones

Everyone looks good in training camp, every year we get these reports about players looking impressive and then they're average during the season.

Not saying Julio will play bad but let's wait for the season to start.

I think the combination of Ryan's 4th year and the addition of Julio Jones is going to lead to Ryan's 1st amazing season, hes been great and he has lead us to the playoffs but he hasnt had an amazing 4000+ yd 30+ td season yet... But its time :)

I have no intentions on tempering my expectations of Julio. From all reports, the kid is outperforming. The simple fact that he is beating Dunta is impressive, regardless of how you feel about Dunta. His routes are sharp and hands almost flawless. Yes he is still a rookie and making mistakes, but he has all intentions of making him a steal at #6.

Hard nosed to the ground humble kid. He doesn't care who is in his way. He plans on being the best and is showing it. I haven't heard half the things about Green when googling him. None of the explosiveness off the line, comparisons to a 5 year vet. He is the real deal. He has Hall of Fame talent (yes I said it) but it is up to him to realize it. Right now he is showing ROY potential. He reminds me of Andre Johnson. Quiet but will bust your arse. He has HOF talent. Julio is playing no games out there and doesn't plan on letting up

Here's a tidbit I found at the Bengals "unofficial blog" http://www.cincyjungle.com/2011/8/1/2309170/observations-from-camp-a-j-green-is-putting-on-a-show

WR A.J Green showed why he was the No. 4 overall pick. Green jumped over top of S Chris Crocker and another defender Monday to steal away a deep, underthrown pass down the sidelines. It was far and away the highlight of training camp thus far.

John Thornton wrote:

Other things that stood out…the way that AJ Green attacks the ball. Dalton under threw a deep ball and AJ went up above two DBs to catch the ball. But when he came down, the ball popped out. But the fact that he came back and fought for the ball was impressive.

From Geoff Hobson:

Green keeps doing what he can as he quietly puts on a show. They haven't covered him yet and on Sunday his huge ball skills were on display when he had to come back for a Dalton bomb. He knifed through two defenders to easily catch the ball at the top of the leap, but he lost the handle when before he could pull it in as he came down, it got tipped out.
