Karst41
Now that the Worst Off Season Ever is OVER, I am looking at this Team, from Top to Bottom. Unless something goes horribly wrong, I do believe that the 2011 Atlanta Falcons will be the Best Team in the History of the Franchise. No Team is Perfect in the NFL, never has never will.Including and especially the Iggles! dmite
Well, I'm very excited for this season... but I'm always excited about this time of year. On paper, the team looks awesome.
vel
I think this is the most complete team we have had. There honestly aren't any holes to speak of. And on top of that we have solid depth at most of the positions. Great QBGreat RBGreat TEAWESOME WRsGood OLineGrood (Great+Good) DLineGrood LBsGrood SecondaryThere aren't many teams that have at least good depth/rotation at every position. I think some of the worry warts on here are scared of greatness
Borat
Secondary is still a weakness as are WR and RB depth. But all three can be easily addressed in FA (Snellz/Brown/etc) or in house (Douglas for WR, Franks/Owens for DB).
AtlantaFalconPokerPro
I think were going to have an awesome D. I've been looking forward to the O more in the past couple of years, whereas this year I'm looking for to our D.
Shuswap
We had a good year last year but we added two starters to the line up Edwards and Julio. Just going off of that I would say we are better. I'm expecting Spoon and Jerry and Moore to have break out years. I'm really excited about this team and I think if we stay healthy we can go deep into the playoffs. Knight of God
I say yes to that every year...so as they say on The Shark Tank, "I'm out."
falcndave
I liked the '80 Team alot. They ranked out well in the league also. Top 5 in offensive and defensive points, 1st in passing TDs. There rushing number were skewed by the fact Andrews was as good a reciever as he was a running back. I was only 14 at the time, but I honestly thought that team was the best in the NFL that season. What I think this team has that the '80 team lacked is staying power. We spent some money, but we have a lot of key peices in their prime and under contract for a while. We will need a TE next year and a first class running back in the next couple of years. However, we are set at many positions. The offensie and the defensive backers look especially strong looking ahead a few years.
Draftnut57
I've been a fan since 73 and I can tell you in a hurry, Yes! I can't believe you even had to ask that question. We have never had a team like this. It's not even close to one like this.. If they will get rid of some of those low percentage passing plays an replace them with the high % plays like GB uses, then we would be unstoppable. I just hope they realize they need to do that and learned from GB why they won it all last year and why we didn't . That is the reason. Banned
If we had Deion Sanders it would be.
paulitik
This definitely should be the greatest offense in Falcons history, but with Mularkey steering that ship, who knows? This very well could be our best team. Our defense is a piece or two away, and the offense only really lacks depth in certain areaa, and a question mark at LT. All it would take is for all of our players to just play to their potential and we go all the way. If we don't, we need to reevaluate the coordinator positions. The fact is, it will never get any easier for us to get to the Super Bowl than it was for us last year, and we blew it. We have to prove we can take it to the next level. falconcrest58
as a loooooong time Falcon fan.... the answer is YES without a doubt....but there's a very good chance our record will not be the best ever ;-(
GENERALZOD
Only time will tell. I like our chances of this being the best Falcons team ever, although out of respect for other Falcons team in the past I will say at this point in time, on paper perhaps. Realistically, only way a new Falcons lineup can be better is to win it all, for this team to win the Superbowl is what it would take for me to say yes they are the best Falcons team ever. JMO..... Our SB appearance was a disaster (thank you, Eugene ), but at least we got there. '98 Birds are still the best.I will say that at least on paper, this is shaping up to be the most exciting team we've had in a long, long time.
