Lou_Dog
There is rumor that Asante may be on his way out of Philly with the signing of Aso and the pick-up of Cromartie in the Kolb trade. If he hits the FA market would you bite? And if so would he be a NB or would you want him to start and move Grimes to NB?
ConnFalcon
They won't cut him (at least I don't think, but after this offseason I suppose anything is possible) and if they trade we would have to pay like 9 million or so. No thanks. However Dunta, Grimes and Samuel is a nice thought.
Falcons Win
If he hits FA (which he won't) then there's no question his phone will ring from ATL. But the fact is he's going to garner some pretty high compensation and we don't have it to give. I would love to have Robinson and Samuel together with Grimes on the Nickel, but fact is that isn't going to happen for us.I'm just hoping Franks is as good as I think he is. FlyHighFalcons
He'll cost way too much in either a trade or in free agency, so we won't have the room for him.

Falcon Man™
I would hope the Giants wouldn't be that dumb.Asante and a 1st would get the deal done. Besides it is obvious Osi wants out of NY - is it ONLY about the $$?Oh, and the Eagles seem to be signing like EVERYONE, so why not? Edited August 1, 2011 by 2Legit2quit! True but I don't see why they would help their rival by giving them even more than they already signed.
Miller2Rison
i would love to have asante in a falcon uniform when we played the eagles but i dont think he ends up here and i would put him at nickel and let grimes stay at the corner, asante is getting old
B_Lo_Touchdowns
The Eagles not going to release Asante but if they did and we got him I'd move him to the 1st spot put Duante in NB position so he can blow up QB's on the scramble/rollout and Sweep Passes to speed backs
batman123
I Honestly dont want Samuel, he's only good in zone coverage and gets his picks by jumping routes. whats he going to do when hes 1-on-1 with a reciever down field?

Skill or luck? I'm going with skill.

TdotFalcon
why would you move a probowl player who knows our system down the depth chart and allow samuel to come in with a high price and take his spot.next.....
Slick Skillet
I think Cromartie is the worst tackler in the NFL.The worst tackler in the league just got a deal paying him $8 million per year. I guess it pays to be bad!!

*NiteFalcon*
lol this is funny. I would love to have Samuel, he would instantly be the best corner on the team. those of you acting like our 22nd ranked pass defense couldn't use the help are delusional

To think Samuel would come here and out produce Grimes is just silly. 22nd ranked pass d or not!
jeffro2000
like others have said he would cost nearly 9 million for whoever trades for him. We couldn't offer much in trade, or pay that salary probably. They may cut him just to free up the space. They could sign all the rest of the good free agents if they release him. They will likely keep him unless they just need the cap room. Once they sign vick to a long term deal he will give them cap room also. He is counting 17m or so this year. I good young team in good shape with the cap I hate them. Can't wait to play them.

Omnifan
They would only be trading him to create cap space. So big name trades are out of the question. Ex osi from giants makes no since. They can't take on any more salary. It would take like a first and fourth to get the dude out of Philly. No gm in his right mind would out right cut him. The guy has to much value to the team. As for him playing in Atlanta. TD would have to work a deal where Philly pays 80% of his salary, which I don't see happening.
