thestufford
This is a little late because I was on vacation over the weekend. I looked pack 5 pages and didn't see a dedication thread for Jenkins. So here it is!I'm gonna miss this guy being on our team. Jenkins made some HUGE catches in clutch situations in his time here and there were big games that we would not have won if not for some of the catches he made. He's no Roddy, and may never live up to where we drafted him at but he was solid. Yes, he disappeared some games, and yes he had key drops in our 2009 season, but I loved when we got the ball in his hands. I'm excited about our receiver core this year with JJ, Meier, HD and Weems hopefully opening up our offense and not making Roddy touch the ball 115 times again, but God Forbid Roddy goes down, we will really miss MJ12, EVEN MORE. Good luck with the Vikings MJ! Edited August 1, 2011 by thestufford

I rooted for him and thought he was a good guy to have around but suspect his going was his own request (and apparently he knew what he was doing). Look for a big MJ "revival" board when the Minnesota game comes up this year.
BleedBlack&Red
1. That is a AWESOME pic of Jenkins!2. Thank you MJ for not dropping that fingertip, both feet in, ball controlled catch in the Ravens game last season to help us win the game! FalconFanSince1970
Nice pic. That was from the Vick era. Buddy had some nice plays back then. I've been watching the last three seasons lately and he just keeps showing up in clutch situations. I don't really think you'll get much appreciation for The Jenk Man on this board but here is my tribute to him in a video that includes some of his plays over the last three years during the Ice Age. chifalc
Why do people act like we have massively less depth in receivers due to, essentially, replacing Jenkins with Julio?
4dabirds
Why do people act like we have massively less depth in receivers due to, essentially, replacing Jenkins with Julio? Our depth is affected without Jenkins here. Most WR's need 3 to 4 seasons to play at a smart level. Aside from Roddy, HD is the next most experienced receiver we have. Meier and Julio have yet to play a regular season down, and HD missed a lot of time in year 2. I hope our depth is not an issue, but with MJ gone, we are very young at this position. Good luck with the Vikings MJ! A lot of MJ12 detractors are going to be missing Jenkins come a few weeks into the season. While he was neither explosive or a superstar, Jenkins was consistent and a solid receiver for us. The depth he would have brought to the WR position is gone and we have nobody below Roddy & JJ that should play more than 5 snaps a game. God help us if Roddy or JJ get hurt & miss a game or more. I wish him well with the Vikings, except when the play us.

Absolute
Jenkins was out for most of the first half of the season and we did well...I think we'll be fine.
Falcon Man™
Thank you for catching Matt's first NFL pass for a TD.Thank you for making that clutch sideline grab against the Bears.Thank you for being a class act for our organization.Thank you for being one of the best blocking WR's we ever had. Thanks Jenks
falken
The majority of fans here never appreciated Michael Jenkins. MJ12 is a decent WR who never lived up to his potential. I liked him but he was making too much money for a WR that never cracked the 100 yard barrier. He would have made a good 3rd receiver at a reduced price. We're a better team with Ray Edwards minus JA98 and MJ12.
fraves
Ill never forget the catch against the Bears. That is are go to play when we need a chunk of yardage. He had some tough years but played solid in the past couple. He should do well in Minn. Thanks Jenks.
Scorpion
I will never ever ever ever forget that catch he made against the bears w like 1u second left in the game. That is my top 3 play/moment ever watching a falcons game. I remember i was running around in my room screaming when he made the catch. Nice video. The problem with Jenkins is that he could not consistently get open and he was getting paid too much. I was hoping we would keep him because he is a veteran who knows the system and would be an outstanding 3rd WR. If Roddy or Julio get injured we will be missing Jenkins. It has to say something about Jenkins that Musgrave obviously wanted him and knows exactly what he can do. Good luck Jenkins.

ConnFalcon
Jenks was the reason we won one of the best, exciting games I have ever seen as a Falcon fan (against CHI)Thanks for the memory. He was never a superstar, but was well liked in the orginization. I think the us as fans had a love hate relationship with him, but there is no doubt he was solid, and will be missed.Good luck to him. Abe
I have always liked the guy... My good memories of him far outweigh the bad. He will do well with the Vikings. He knows the system and Donovan will appreciate his team attitude. Thanks for the years you gave us.

ConnFalcon
Watch, in his first game he will get over 100 yards.
blackredfellow
Good Luck to him in Minn. Jenks made some amazing catches in his time here. I still remember that if he catches the tipped ball against the Giants in '09, we probably win and probably go to the playoffs, but everyone drops balls once in a while. He also basically won games against Chicago and Baltimore for the Falcons with amazing fingertip catches.
