jlrfalcon
Which will happen first:1) Snelling accepts a little more to play in St. Louis and still be a backup2) St. Louis gives up on Snelling and signs somebody else3) TD gives in and pays Snelling what St. Louis is offering4) TD decides to bring in another veteran to serve as Snelling's replacementhttp://www.turfshowtimes.com/2011/7/30/2305824/free-agent-rumorsronnie-brown-joseph-addai-and-jason
Wokezone
Td offers more than Stl. SNelling goes back to stl to see if they will match, Td signs someone else while this is going on, Stl refuses to match and signs someone else, then when snelling comes back to accept we say we have changed our minds, and hes left without a team for being ungrateful and greedy. 1 million more or stay with a team you care about and is going to take you to get a SB ring and you still get paid. Knight of God
I've been wanting Hightower or Ricky Williams all season if Snelling doesn't come back.Told you we have a lot in common! Next thing you know you'll be telling me that we have the same birthday. J/K!!!I like almost ANY of the RB's who has a similar style to Snelling or Turner. Powerback with explosiveness or Snelling's vision and smart play style. Always love the way Snelling follows blockers and takes an extra two to three yards before he is brought down. txfalconfan
Just pay the man. He really isn't asking for that much. He hasn't made that much money so far. He was not a high draft pick so his contract was not big. He's trying to at least get one payday while he has a chance. I don't blame him. He has value to us, so we should take care of him. k-train
Here is a guy no one has spoken of.Not bad.Hightower and Harrison are the two I'd like to see if Snelling leaves.HOWEVER, Hightower is a RFA, so that ain't gonna happen.
Peyton
The RB market is so soft, Snelling probably doesn't like any of the offers he has on the table, if he in fact has more than one offer on the table.I think he ultimately comes back to Atlanta, but disappointed with his pay raise. Draftnut57
10. As I have wrote many times already. TD lets him get his best offer , then we pay him that amount of more. He wants to stay here so that will work. Count on it.
Borat
Not having good/great RB depth in this league in inexcusable. TD will make a move. Don't worry.

I use different lists, but only two even show that type of thing and I guess I didn't pay any attention. Thanks man!At this rate I wouldn't mind if we either went with what we have or signed Snelling, Norwood, or DevineNo problem. I missed it at first, too. I got all excited about the idea of bringing him in should Snelling bolt, but then saw on a few other sites that he's a RFA.You know I'm with you on that last bit. As I posted in the other thread, Johnson's versatility makes him a lot more valuable than most here realize. His being able to fill in at FB is one of the same things that helped Snelling keep his spot. The staff is really into guys who can fill multiple roles, because it adds extra room on the roster. By having guys like Snelling or Johnson on the roster we don't need to use another spot on a backup for Ovie. I think we can carry 4 HBs, 1 FB and be good to go. Maybe bring in someone who's shown something (even if just a little) like Jerome Harrison to take the place of Smith.M. Turner, J. Rodgers, J. Harrison, G. Johnsonthat works for me. Knight of God
That works. I have been screaming about Johnson for a while and the answer is always..."What has he done?" The answer is "Nothing" You really can't do anything if you're not what a team is looking for. Well as you have said, Johnson is a lot like Snelling in many ways and I have to agree with that line up if we can't do any better.M. Turner, J. Rodgers, J. Harrison, G. JohnsonTwo power backs and two speed backs like last year. Rodgers isn't a true speed back like many think. He's a change of pace back. Guys like him make defenses sick. Run behind a block then a 6'3" linebacker gets low and he gets lower and squirts away. Mismatch! Big time.
KANE337
The market value for running backs are not too good right now. Marion Barber and Willis McGahee only got $5 million for 2 years with their new teams. These other free agent RB's are probably trying to get more which is why nobody has signed them yet.http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/07/30/veteran-running-back-market-goes-flat/ Edited July 31, 2011 by KANE337

That's pretty freaking shallow and naive.4) Look at our playoff game. Look at the talent being assembled by the Iggles. Look at us sign one guy, lose a bunch, regress, and become The Same Ol' Falcons. Look at the team's gutless decision to keep the failed and inept coordinators, especially BVG.The only way the Falcons go to the Super Bowl is to buy a bloc of tickets. As people have said it's a soft market for running backs if Snelling wants to get paid market value and is willing to accept his role then he will probably get signed. If he thinks he is starting material how is that the Falcons fault? The eagles are going for broke and will be a dangerous team BUT overall we are a more solid team from top to bottom. If Vick gets hurt or sustains a serious injury, season over with Vince Young as his backup. Please don't reply the same holds true with most teams since he plays more like a RB than a QB so his chances are a lot higher. Plus after watching him play his entire career he is a lot like Favre in this regard he is great out of the gate but as the season wears on he starts to make mistakes and by the playoffs you can count on a game breaking interception or fumble.Finishing up concerning point number four. the one guy we signed was the biggest need for this team and is an outstanding player that WILL have a tremendous impact on this team. Lose a bunch ? Who Dahl and a overpaid punter remember we cut Jenkins and Anderson. Finally I don't know how long you've been a fan but in my 30 plus years this is not the same ol Falcons.
