Borat
Guys you all have been bagging on the large sum of money a certain Tampa-based team gave a slightly above average punter this offseason, saying that it is "too much" and "insane." From my perspective however, this was the smartest move of this Free Agency period. Why? This move was a brilliant counter to the Falcons' signing of Ray Edwards. Just think; with the amount of times the aforementioned team will be punting next year, said punter will be getting at least as many touches as their excellent Running Back, perhaps more. And when you plan on giving a guy that many touches in your offense, it is vital that such a important cog be a high performing one, hence the need for a big deal. Similarly, I was ecstatic hearing the news of the re-signing of our great kicker, Matt Bryant. When averaging at least 35 points a game, it is of the utmost importance that one's team have a kicker capable of tacking on 6 or 7 extra points per game in, say, a rout of the Eagles in week two.In summation, great move by both front offices; I look forward to another exciting NFL season in 2011-12!
