sharky
I don't know. I don't really see the Steelers doing it that much. The Pats haven't won a Super Bowl since '05 - while the Steelers have won 2 since then - and been there 3 times.I know that when a team is close - they will make the moves they think will help them get there. They "fill" holes and try to shore up their weaknesses.I think that is exactly what our FO has been doing this offseason for us. Pass rushing was a weakness - they got us a DE to go on the other side of Abe to help with that. Explosiveness - bring in guys like Julio Jones and Quizz Rodgers to give more options to the offense. Going into last year - our secondary was the biggest, most crucial weakness we had - they went out and got the best corner available on the market.I don't want to see them "keeping up with the Joneses" - I want to see them continue to move us towards a state of perennial contention and eventual success at winning a Super Bowl.I don't blame any team for going out and doing what they feel they need to in order to make the team better - but the weakness on one team is not necessarily the weakness on another - and going out and grabbing big names just for the sake of grabbing big names is definitely not the answer either. Not saying that's what they did - just saying I'm glad we don't do that. Our moves are measured, studied and thought about and they are made to fill holes that we need filling. This with a +.
