sharky
We didn't do bad by getting Clabo back and picking up what we needed in Ray, but Philly may have had best signings.

1989Fan
I am not sweating it....WAS and OAK proved signing all the big names doesnt get the job done.Vick will fall back into line this season. Heck, once he committed that 1st turnover last season he really fell back.

Falcon Fanatic
Maybe we can cut some more players so we can keep up with the Iggles. Their "going all in" to win a Super Bowl and our "going all in" looks like polar opposites. Ours looks like we will just be glad to win a playoff game while they look like they are priming themselves for the Lombardi. I hope I am wrong. Tandy
Time will tell. I don't like to guess anymore. I can't tell you how many times the Cowboys, Redskins or Raiders have made so many mega-deals in FA and I would think - Geez, they can't be beat now - only to see them have mediocre to poor years. Now, I'm just happy when we make moves to improve our team - and I don't speculate on whether another team has suddenly purchased themselves a Yankees ball club. SuperAINTSfan
Who had the best depends on who made there team better!!Nnamdi made the eagles better BUT they had alot of oline problems. Vick was the most sacked qb. Where did they fix that? Saints. De and rb problems. Drafted both. Atl. Pass rush and oline. Signed both. I'd say and I hATE ATL, but both teams did really well. I don't really see the Steelers doing it that much. The Pats haven't won a Super Bowl since '05 - while the Steelers have won 2 since then - and been there 3 times.I know that when a team is close - they will make the moves they think will help them get there. They "fill" holes and try to shore up their weaknesses.I think that is exactly what our FO has been doing this offseason for us. Pass rushing was a weakness - they got us a DE to go on the other side of Abe to help with that. Explosiveness - bring in guys like Julio Jones and Quizz Rodgers to give more options to the offense. Going into last year - our secondary was the biggest, most crucial weakness we had - they went out and got the best corner available on the market.I don't want to see them "keeping up with the Joneses" - I want to see them continue to move us towards a state of perennial contention and eventual success at winning a Super Bowl.I don't blame any team for going out and doing what they feel they need to in order to make the team better - but the weakness on one team is not necessarily the weakness on another - and going out and grabbing big names just for the sake of grabbing big names is definitely not the answer either. Not saying that's what they did - just saying I'm glad we don't do that. Our moves are measured, studied and thought about and they are made to fill holes that we need filling.
