The Falcon Jedi Knight
Good for him. He deserves Peyton Manning type money
FlyHighFalcons
He'll be a very good QB for them. They've got the second best WR in the game, and they are about to sign Malcolm Floyd to compliment that. I expect them to sign Todd Heap or Zach Miller as well. pzummo
They also gave up Rodgers-Cromartie and next years 2nd round pick. Philly is going to be tough this year...
Peyton
That's about an average deal for a QB these days. It will be a bargain if he's good.

aerosmith67
So how much does Matt Ryan get in a few years?
NoMoreVick
Not unusual for a QB. They make bank in this league. If he does what Arizona needs him to do, that's worth every penny.
Big Bubba
Kolb doesn't even have one full year of play time. He has a losing record on a pass happy team that have some of the best weapons on offense in the league. Andy Reid and the Eagles suckered the Cardinals. slamee101
How much is guaranteed though? I can't imagine they gave him a ton of guaranteed $ based on his 7 starts.
pzummo
Kold should send a check to the Falcons for hooking him up. There's no way he could've swung that deal if it wasn't for the ridiculous game he had against us...One game against the Falcons23/29 79.3% completion, 326 yards, 11.2 ypa, 3 TD's, 1 INT, 133.6 QB RatingAgainst the rest of the NFL last season92/160 57.5% completion, 871 yards, 5.44 ypa, 4 TD's, 6 INT's, 65.39 QB Rating
aerosmith67
It's starting to become pretty obvious that Arizona caught lightning in a bottle in 2008, they've got some great players but what the heck are they doing on the QB side of things since 2008? I hope Kolb works out better than their recent disasters.

PeytonMannings Forehead
I don't know the breakdown of the contract. I assume it's front loaded, but don't look at the $63 million. The meat is in the $20 Million signing bonus, which is about what I would expect. Now if he was getting like $35-40 million guaranteed, that would be eye-opening.Good work if you can get it, nonetheless.

Abe even said as much afterwards and that they weren't prepared, but later retracted b/c it looked like he was throwing BVG & staff under the bus.
