Falcons could be waiting until Friday for Kiwi.

Recommended Posts

The Falcons missed out on Charles Johnson and dropped out on Jason Babin. They clearly need a defensive end though. Many think that Edwards will get overpaid, so that leaves the Falcons with only a few options.

One option is a much lower risk than many think and could have extremely high reward in Mathias Kiwanuka. The risk is there because of the health but in all reality he'll probably get a one year deal (two year deal at most) at a relatively cheap price so it won't hurt us financially if he can't stay healthy.

The thing is that any team that wants him is going to have to check him out medically before they sign him to a deal. The problem there is that teams aren't allowed to meet OTHER team's free agents in person until Friday. So maybe the Falcons are waiting for Friday to meet with him and check him out medically.

Man apparently he has the all clear medically from the NYG quacks.I've always been a fan of this guy and to me with them getting JPP in the draft last year and having Tuck and Umenyiora I think Kiwanuka is the odd guy there but I see they just released a D-line guy in Bernard so maybe there clearing space to resign or maybe not nbut for me if he's available I think definitely pull the trigger.

Lol at your username fitting the conversation.

And Umenyiora would be amazing for us if they got Kiwi back and let go of Umenyiora. And even if NY cleared him, teams are going to want to check him out to make sure he fits their standards.

Funny you should say that as Umenyiora reportedly was promised top 5 salary from the Giants but didn't get it so I think there are court proceedings in the works.I saw a interview with Umenyiora and Prime beginning of last season and I have to say I was impressed he sounded like he had a chip on his shoulders and had a pretty good season last year.I would'nt mind either butt prefer Kiwanuka as he is a better fit I think Umenyiora has that little bit of diverism in him which I'm not a fan of.

There's no real comparison between Umi and Kiwiw at this point. Umi is much better and far more developed. 11 sack a year guy, Kiwi has the potential to be that, but isn't there yet.
