And keep Talib. Not official yet on Ruud, but it's looking good for those of us that have suffered with his play for years.

GM Mark Dominik commented that those looking for a big Buc presence in the free agent class will be disappointed, and said any activity will be to target starting-caliber players, and Paul Posluszny of Buffalo, Nick Barnett of Green Bay and Stephen Cooper of San Diego fit that bill..

Nick Barnett should be top priority, we can't start rookie Mason Foster at a key position like MLB.

Keeping Talib was never an issue.....dude is good.

Talib is becoming a top 10 corner, but never an issue keeping him? I am sure the idea of getting rid of him after that whole off field incident was pondered...

Probably was, but until he's convicted of something, why not keep him? Everyone's waiting to see what action the warden Goodell takes.

I'm no attorney, but considering Talib has a trial pending, can Goodell legally discipline him at this point? Could discipline represent the "power of suggestion" and possibly taint a jury?

No Goodell is an outside source, if the jurors learned about it, it would be through the media and jurors can't be exposed to media coverage of the trial they're deliberating on.

In my opinion, the whole personal conduct policy is a catch all that gives Lord Goodell the authority to rule as he pleases.

His trial is slated for March 2012....If Goodell suspends him before this season starts, everybody that follows football will know about it. The only alternative is to select a jury consisting of 90yr. olds that never watch football or open the sports page.

You could probably find a few non-buc fans wives to be on it!

I know MY wife mostly only knows about Falcons' news. :D

Goodell suspended Vick through the duration of his trail, just sayin'.

Talib's trial won't start until next March. GODell can try to act at that time.

Semi related...I have to believe there was some discussion about him during the CBA talks, but I haven't heard it mentioned. Anyone know?
