UDFA Signing: Ryan McMahon

Recommended Posts

He is a little undersized for a center, but he is an awesome (and versatile) pick up. Just passing on the heads up from my insider here at FSU.

this is his info from nfldraftscout.com:

"Draft Scout Snapshot: DS Rating on 9-1-10: #9 C, #285/750 Overall, 7-FA

2009: McMahon has started every game each of the last three seasons for a total of 39...earned a season average grade of 80 percent, second only to Rodney Hudson among offensive linemen.... has played all but 10 snaps, getting a respite in rout at BYU, where he also saw a handful of plays at guard....vastly improved his pass protection and shotgun snaps...penalized three times and allowed only 2.5 sacks in 823 snaps…2008: Started all 13 games for FSU and has now started 26 consecutive games...was in on 872 plays this season, second-most among offensive linemen...played as well as any offensive lineman during the second half of the season...graded out at 81% or higher in six of the last seven games and at 85% or higher in four of those games…2007: Played in all 13 games including his first career bowl game appearance against Kentucky in the Music City Bowl...was not flagged for a penalty during the entire season despite being on the field for every single offensive snap...allowed just two sacks and recorded 20 knockdown blocks in a total of 959 plays....in a system where a grade of 68 percent is passing, McMahon graded out at 78 percent seven times on pass blocking downs…2006 red shirted."
