Calm down everyone, CJ was not going to be a Falcon

Did you see what they paid CJ? Do you really think TD was going to pay money like that? Do you really think TD did not know what kind of money CJ was going to get?

Same with Edwards, like all DEs in their prime Ray E is the perfect candidate to sign a big contract and not live up to it. It happens all the time.

Let's not worry, TD is going to make a calculated cost effective move at DE. If not in the next few days then when all the cuts start happening. Remember we only need to get someone better than KB to make KB a solid rotational player. There will be plenty of guys out there TD can bring in who can give us a few more years on the line while we groom someone young to replace Abe. We can't assume EVERY player wants to come here and we have all the money in the world.

Remember no DE coming out of the draft this year make the kind of impact JJ will make overall for the team and the money is just not there to outbid the most desperate of teams needing a DE.

So, lets stop crying and see what TD will do, remember he knows what he is doing and he will not act on emotion like this board is.

Actually compared to years past I think most of the board is handling this one really well. I think the majority of the board has come to trust TD and knows that amount CJ got paid is crazy. Pleasantly surprised with the way the way this is being handled. A very great sign that our team is in great hands and is going in the right direction.

Also remember that our front office is looking at this year but also for our future ..We seem to think its this year or bust but I think we should remember with our young Pro Bowl talent at key positions , were going to be contenders for a while ....so stop stressing....Our Franchise has not been this good since the early 80's...and that includes the years where that runningback playing as our QB got in some kind of trouble ...

We bring in a DE who is a high motor guy or a DE who is in his twilight but knows how to school a OT for a honest salary for a few years and TD once again did it the NE way. KB might not be a pro bowl starting DE but he sure would be one **** of an above average rotational guy. If we can move KB as the 3rd DE in the rotation and replace him with someone better then we have upgraded the talent AND the depth AND have money left over to sign all out FA's or go after someone at another position we are not even thinking about that could be a game changing move.

So, let's just kick back and see how it all plays out. I would not be surprised with the short off season that most players just stay where they are because they don't have too much time to manipulate the market.
