Northern_Falcon
So you have to think, we could easily drop jenks and pick up another WR that is just as good or better for the same price or cheaper. This is the deepest WR class in a long time. Any Free Agent WR that you would take instead of Jenkins (for around what we pay him)?
Peyton
I think we could have Lance Moore for the same money or cheaper, and he definitely would fit a slot position a lot better than Jenkins.
usmcdirtybird
Randy Moss for 1 year but I see him going back to NE.

Ryan would be like a kid in the candy store with Moore, White and Jones. Although I would hate to see Jenkins go, if it makes the team better I am all for it. freebird310
If we could get Moore for the same money, kiss his azz goodbye ........
Northern_Falcon
To add Moore also gives valuable play off experience.
Panicman27
Has Lance Moore ever played 16 games - seems like he is always nursing an injury. Why does everyone hate on Jenks so much. Jenkins as our third receiver should be pretty sick.
Peyton
Somebody negged me for my Moore suggestion, so in response I gave +1 to everyone who agreed with me. Cause somewhere in my twisted brain that seemed like the proper response.

Did you catch that game?

Seems as if someone else disagreed as well. Edited July 26, 2011 by FalconinPA

Theyhateme : )
I think we could have Lance Moore for the same money or cheaper, and he definitely would fit a slot position a lot better than Jenkins....and he'd have how long to learn our system again? -_-
Northern_Falcon
Moore is also a soon-to-be 28-year-old wide receiver who is basically Harry Douglas with inferior wheels and superior hands, so it's not like the Falcons are reinventing their square offensive wheel by bringing him in.But hey, imagine how pissed the Saints would be

Theyhateme : )
Get rid of the WR with the most experience for a rival WR that has to learn the playbook before the beginning of the season.

Farmer2
Why the Jenkins hate? Yes he's expensive for a #3, but who else do we have as the tall end zone target that Finn filled in years past. Plus, what if God forbid White goes down. Then HD83 is our most experienced WR. No thanks considering Ryan uses timing routes to move the ball. Northern_Falcon
But on the other side can Moore Block? definitely not as good as jenks...... but we have julio to do that
Theyhateme : )
How long you think it would take him to learn Mularkey's 10 plays?15 or 16 plays out of 40 or 50 sets according to Roddy which is why HE (Roddy) thinks that the WR corp that they have now (himself, JJ, MJ and HD) would be the way to go. He said this as a response to the rumors of releasing Jenkins. He said it as if it was a "no-brainer." I can't find that radio interview....it's somewhere on this board...
Panicman27
You are dead wrong ..do you even remember how this guy has blistered us ? ...... :blink:Isn't it possible that Drew Brees blistered us more so than Lance Moore? Why replace a 6'4" 200lb target with a 5'8" 180 receiver with a history of injuries (2006 and 2009)- we already have HD83.Pretty sure Moore can't block like Jenkins either.
