dmo_dlo
I think he may be expensive for us but I think even a slowed down Barber is still a good fit here.

Dem Birds
If we lose Snelling and Noel ends up not being a Falcon, I wouldn't mind seeing Barber in a Falcons uniform, at all.
falconcrest58
I think he may be expensive for us but I think even a slowed down Barber is still a good fit here.if Snelling leaves I say go with Barber, Brown, Faulk for insurance since we now have 2 change of pace backs granted they make the team. Quizz is going to surprise people with how he can run between the tackles...dude is built like a tank and is durable...5'6'' 200 lbs = to 6'3'' 235Brown is my first choice cuz he can run wild cat

FalconinPA
I think he may be expensive for us but I think even a slowed down Barber is still a good fit here.I actually don't think that he would be a good fit. The Barber from a couple of years ago yes, but I definitely think he is being released for good reasons. Just not the same explosiveness that he used to have. SSL810HIO
well id be all for it if he would take a small contract.
dmo_dlo
I agree that he's not the same player is two years ago but he's being released because of a) his high salary, and crowded backfield of Jones, Choice, and Murray. If we keep Quizz and Devine we have to have an experienced hard runner as well.
SSL810HIO
if we can get him for a minimum contract i think the change could do him wonders.
dmo_dlo
There is also an important advantage in signing released players vs FAs. A released player won't count as a FA in calculation of compensatory picks.
k-train
No interest in Barber, and anyone who's seen him play over the last few years shouldn't either.A big part of why Snelling made the roster early on was because he had a lot of versatility... he could be a solid halfback, but could also fill in at fullback if needed. Most people are sleeping on Gartrell Johnson, but he has the same versatility. This is why I think he will make the roster if/and when Snelling leaves. Johnson frees up a roster spot bu not having to sign another FB to back up Ovie.Turner, Rodgers, Johnson will be the game day depth chart at HB. Maybe Devine makes it too if we carry 4 HBs and 1 FB, but he'll have to really show something.
