atlGM
Grimes has been our best corner the past 3 seasons.I love his style of play the knock i have on the guy is his lack of size. Bigger receivers with body control seem to win over the top with ease. This offseason there are TWO top tier corners available in Joseph and Asomugha. Unless we make a move on guy like OSI i just dont see where any of the guys available will give us any more than what beirman can.Picking either of those two corners would free up so much underneath and would compensate for our like of a dominate pass rush.Like i said i love GRIMES just weighing our options wanted to know what you'll thought.PS. he is a RFA so he would still be on our roster this year. Aria7
With a shortend offseason the motto is "keep your own". Grimes is not going anywhere. Aso is on the downslide of his career. We have more playing time with Grimes than going after an old highly priced FA. Edited July 26, 2011 by Aria7

Grimes has more than shown that he can hang with the big dogs. I would take Grimes over Joseph 10 times out of 10. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in knowledge of his position, and the ability to break on the ball before the receiver does. He is one of the best route readers i've seen in a while. Sure he get's beat every once in a while, but what corner doesn't? You will see more people complain about Dunta Robinson and his lack of production than you ever will hear about Grimes. But i do think he is one of the best in the league

Atlfanstckndenver
The only way we dont keep grimes is if we already have one of those top guys wrapped up. Its not gonna happen tho.

k-train
i wonder whats going to happen if a team throws out a 1st for him.If someone wants to give us a 1st for Grimes, we take it in a second and try to sign Josh Wilson.
Dem Birds
if we get CJ or any DE help I think Grimes will be fine Grimes will be fine regardless, it's Robinson and Owens that need some help in the pass rush department.
kywildcats
I've wondered the same thing. Have the Falcons even talked to the top two guys that are FA? I think Grimes with one of the other guys (granted they would be expensive) could get the team over the "hump" and into the SB. The team was close last year but a DB to go along with Grimes might be what the team needs.
freebird310
Grimey will remain a crow for at least this year, doubt if they get a long term deal done right away though ......

Being negged around here for stating your opinion. I don't think the Op is bashing Grimes at all, just asking for others opinions. +1 to cancel the neg. TorontoFalcons
Resigning Grimes should be top priority for the Falcons. He really impressed me last season, before I used to say hes too short, receivers will just jump over him. But with what he lacks in height he makes up in heart and athletic ability.
