muskokas finest ©
Johnson wants money and needs to use the Panthers as leverage to get the best offer from other teams.

Big Bubba
That's alright with me. Is gonna get overpaid for a one year wonder anyways.Yeah, but it's not like with DTs, Wrs and Qbs, where the Panthers don't know what they're doing more times or not. If they deem CJ worthy of a huge contract, then, no doubt in my mind that he's worth it and will be one of the top DEs in a couple years. Panthers have been good at spying talent in DEs and LBers over recent years.

falconidae
Lets see who he talks to and/or signs with. If he doesn't talk to anybody else, oh well, he's a panther. If he talks to the falcons, Blank can be very persuasive.

Other than not having to relocate, what advantage should a 2-14 team have over the Atlanta Falcons?I heard CJ interviewed with 680-the-fan this morning and the question was asked of him, "If you had to choose between 'more money' or 'winning team' which would you choose?" CJ said 'winning franchise'.Falcons are in the southFalcons are a 1st class winning franchiseFalcons will pay top dollarFalcons have Arthur Blank and Mike SmithFalcons have Charles Johnson's old DC (VanGorder)Atlanta is closes pro franchise to his hometown in Georgia. So, other than 'moving' - what advantage do the Panthers have? g-dawg
Osi....I want Osi......CJ was always an extreme long shot anyway.Osi would require draft pick compensation and we are already down a 1st and a 4th in 2012.Don't see this at all, Gritz. ATLBrave
That's alright with me. Is gonna get overpaid for a one year wonder anyways. This has got to be the most overused label on this board. I find it laughable to call him a one year wonder when he's still performed quite well in his limited opportunities prior to the 2010 season. He did what his numbers would suggest, and exploded onto the scene with an increase in PT.

CJ has been in league 4 years - most players at most positions take a few years to develop.

Despite having two more winning seasons.first class winning teams are teams like the Packers, Steelers, Saints, Colts, Patriots, etc.. Teams that have won it all. Not teams that constantly get bounced out of the playoffs after their first game.
