Capt_Falcon_25 381
According to ESPN the Ravens plan to cut Todd Heap along with a few other notable veterans. Would it make sense to pursue Heap or just stay our course and continue to search for a young heir to Gonzalez.http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/6801735/baltimore-ravens-plan-cut-derrick-mason-willis-mcgahee-todd-heap-too?campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines
k-train 8,640
Stay the course. Heap peaked about 4-5 years ago. Not a lot of gas left in that tank.
Dharma Initiative 6,386
McGahee might be a nice cheap backup to Turner and Ovie
vel 32,056
McGahee might be a nice cheap backup to Turner and OvieI don't think nice but I would definitely like that. He is a very good all around back. True Miami player
BlacksburgHokie 241
Ravens are really cleaning house up there.I don't think we'll make a play for Heap, although he would be an interesting option as both a receiver and a blocker. His best days are behind him though, and nothing I've read seems to indicate that the front office is unhappy with where we are at that position in the short term. We definitely do need to start thinking about Gonzo's replacement though.
krammmit 1,365
Todd Heap is 2 old and McGahee doesnt initiate contact and goes down too easy. you see him have beautiful runs when he lowers his shoulders but its too inconsistent. I didnt want him when he went to the ravens and i dont want him here after the ravens.
muskokas finest © 7,580
Wouldn't mind Kelly Gregg as a 2-down run stuffer, since the Ravens will be cutting him as well.

FalconFanSince1970 24,498
If we can't get the OAK TE and can get buddy at a reasonable price, I say pick him up by Thursday night.Dude is still very serviceable. As good as TonyG 2011 and definitely better than anything on the roster when TonyG leaves next year. Many have failed to realize that the elite QBs are adding plenty TEs to their arsenal. It's becoming a passing league and TEs are definitely coming back.Mularkey could put on a TE clinic. Trust me.In the voice of the great Dan Reeves, "you never have enough TEs".Plus you got the I hate Flacco syndrome amongst many fans. Might as well capitalize on that. Bring him on home son.
