Does that mean they can't report to camp until Aug 2?

Farmer2
That sounds correct or atleast whenever camp officially opens.According to Pat Y, our camp is opening Thursday, but the 2nd is a week from Tuesday.
Theyhateme : )
According to Pat Y, our camp is opening Thursday, but the 2nd is a week from Tuesday.I just thought about what you really asked. Being that the FA couldn't officially sign till Aug 2nd, then I wouldn't expect the FA to particiate until Aug 2nd. Has the NFL been down this road before? Not that I can remember, so I'd be willing to be that they won't get to camp without a contract.

Smuggling CJ away from the Panthers front officeRumor Mill has him staying put and Edwards heading to the Eagles....We will sign our OL...haven't heard anything about us on defense. It's tough to guess about the Falcons FA.

I'm sure we will, but I wonder if you "sign" a FA Tuesday if they could still techniqically shop their services until it becomes official?
