GEORGIAfan
If the CBA was necessary to end the lockout, then yes, but since it is not, nope.
chifalc
If the CBA was necessary to end the lockout, then yes, but since it is not, nope.So in other words, just give the players what they want without the players having to agree to a thing. How convenient.
GEORGIAfan
So in other words, just give the players what they want without the players having to agree to a thing. How convenient. Did you fail all your elementary summer readings, because you are bad a summaries. All I said was end the lockout which is costing both sides money. It is not like ending the lockout will give the NFLPA leverage. It will give both sides a level playing field. It will allow business to go on while the owners and NFLPA execs to finish the paper work. it would also probably prevent the BS we have seen the past few days from both sides. How convenient. And, as i feared, the new CBA will not stop the ridiculous lawsuits against the NFL which threaten to undo the entire league.Lawsuits which hold as much water as the lowlife who lays down the supermarket aisle and claims to have fallen and then sues for 5 million. theDIRTYcode
What do you do about FA if they just end the lockout? Are players free to sign with any team? Who is a RFA, who is an UFA? Can we sign contracts and what are the terms? This a serious question, cause this seems to be a problem in mind if you "just end the lockout". GEORGIAfan
So the players get to continue their lawsuits. . while the owners give up their leverage, and that is what you call an even playing field???the lawsuit is against the lockout. end the lockout and you take the legs out from the lawsuit. Paulitik explained it better in another thread.

You want it to be on the players. I personally do not care, but I see the truth. Paulitik has proven that you can run the NFL without a CBA or a union and not have to worry about lawsuits. the NFL is opening the doors even if a CBA is not in place by tuesday and are only asking they recertify, which is what I said would need to be done. We are looking at the facts while you continue to attack the players. I have yet to see you attack the or blame the owners for anything. please put down the kool aid and see what is actually happening. I know you can see the truth. But you are right they are holding it up, but only because the owners tried to sneak in some non-agreed upon stipulations into the settlement. Had they not, I think we would be worrying about how much babin or johnson would cost us.
didz
This whole thing has been about the players. Greedy SOB. Drew Brees is the head of that sorry group of greedy ********. As if they don't get enough through endorsements. The owners are trying to bring the NFL back to the way it should be and the players are complaining about everything. Let Brees, Mankins, Jackson and who ever walk, it helps out the NFL and it helps out the Falcons.
paulitik
Only if the owners open the doors, schedule TC and not a single player shows up. The owners can end the lockout and the players can still workout until the CBA is agreed upon in a few days.

The players are saints, and have been entirely innocent victims, who have done nothing wrong except sit back and polish their halos while the mean, mean owners went after them for no reason.Seriously though. . .The players are CLAIMING they are adding. . .Frankly, I see no reason whatsoever at this point to believe them. . . .THe players are simultaneously claiming that they haven't seen the contract AND that things are added to it. SO which are they lying about?
Big Reg Da Commish
If the owners open the facilities on Saturday like they said and the players don't show up, then its not a lockout its a strike at that point.
