FlyHighFalcons
Michael Vick is an extremely skilled football player that happens to not be a fit for this team, and definitely not a better fit that Matt Ryan. THAT'S why he shouldn't be here. Not some personal bullcrap that is none of our business.
Mr. Right
We all know that Michael Vick won the city of Atlanta over. Without him, the only way for Arthur Blank to win the city again is to either win a Superbowl or sign Michael Vick as the starting QB. We also know that if it wasn't for Michael Vick's tenure, it wouldn't be surprising if there was a team called the Los Angeles Falcons. When Vick left, the Falcons had to re-color the seats because they knew that without Vick, there wouldn't be any fans.Anybody remember Lambeau Dome this playoff game? Might have to turn up the volume for full effect. Where is Matt Ryan on this list? Didn't we go 13-3? Heck, where's a Falcon on the list?http://blogs.forbes....ng-off-shelves/Best-Selling NFL Jerseys Last 4 Weeks1. Michael Vick replica (jade) 2. Mark Sanchez replica team (green) 3. Pretty remarkable, considering the Eagles didn't add Vick until Aug. 13. The top-selling jersey over that period was the Vikings' Brett Favre. The Bears' Jay Cutler and the Steelers' Troy Polamalu were No. 2 and 3 respectively. No other Eagles player made the top 20.

Isn't half a decade enough for us to move on?Given the fact that someone, who's most likely not even a Vick fan, created a thread about Vick and created without any prior provocation, very much shows that Vick affects this fan base as much as he did 5 years ago. Vick won Atlanta's heart. The only way to move on is to win the Superbowl. Or bring him back home where he belongs.

Atl/0
Mr. Right obviously is trying to rile you up but he isn't lying about the love he still gets around here. This thread proves that he's still in the heads of many.Soon as we were knocked out of the playoffs I said the NFL was going to make sure the Eagles play us in a Primetime game at the dome in the first two weeks of the season because they really wanted that match up in the playoffs but it didn't go down. In all honesty who do you think the nation is tuning into see this primetime game us or Vick?

Puh-Leeze!The Thursday night game between the Falcons and the Ravens had the highest Thursday night rating ever.Wow! Considering your boy wasn't even in the stadium, it's amazing anyone even tuned in, huh?Oh - and where was he during the Monday night game against the Saints in our stadium?Falcons/Saints game Monday is the biggest cable telecast of the year 3:20 pm December 29, 2010, by Rodney Ho Saints quarterback Drew Brees celebrates the victory over the Falcons Monday night. CREDIT: Johnny Crawford/jcrawford@ajc.com A big game between the Atlanta Falcons and the New Orleans Saints Monday equaled huge viewership locally and nationally. It drew more than half the TVs that were on in metro Atlanta and more than one-third of the entire local population. It was also the highest rated football game in Atlanta on record, according to Zap2it.com. The game, which ended with the Saints winning 17-14 in the final minutes, aired on both ESPN as a “Monday Night Football” telecast and Channel 2 WSB-TV. Combined, the two networks brought in a whopping 37.2 rating, about three times larger than a typical top-rated show and equates to more than 1.5 million viewers. And of TVs that were on Monday night, 54 percent were tuned to the game. Nationally, the game drew 19.1 million viewers on ESPN alone, according to Nielsen ratings. That’s the highest rated cable telecast of the year and third biggest ever. (Nine of the top 10 cable telecasts of all time are NFL football games. The only non-football telecast? “High School Musical 2″ from 2007 on the Disney Channel makes it into the top 10.) NFL has been on a roll this year, showing increased ratings across the board. ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” averaged 14.7 million viewers through 15 weeks, on its way to its best year ever on that network. NFL Network’s Thursday night football games have averaged 5.7 million, the best in its five-year history.
MattM12
The rap sheet on Mike Vick truly puts him in the running for biggest Jack@ss of the decade. What angers me the most is that he has done awful things, threw the fans and his team owner under the bus, but he is worshipped around the league again.WHY? Oh, because he can run and pass well. Congratulations. That is the B/S with Celebrity and athletes. Just because you entertain us means you can be an awful person.Nike takes him backhalf of our fans take him backthe kids buy the jerseys againhis peers cite him as inspirationNext time someone sticks up for the guy, here is where I am going with my retort.1. Do you own a dog?2. Would you smash it on the ground to kill it if it was injured or not a good fighter?3. Would you give the middle finger to fans who adore you after a bad game?I was a Vick fan, like we all were. Maybe I am stubborn, but he has not earned my forgiveness, and how he has earned a lot of yours I will never understand.Bring it on MR Right, because if you believe what you actually intimate, you are delusional, potentially extremely stupid, and/or morally questionable. Quarterback
It appears that Vick is still occupying space in many minds rent free.Sadly, I think too many people pull for or against Vick for all the wrong reasons. As a man, I am glad to see that Vick appears to have made some good changes in his life and has returned to being a productive member of society; as an athlete I am also glad that Vick's improved personal life has allowed himto fulfill some of the potential we all could see when he first arrived as a Falcon.I will pull against Vick, the Eagle, because I want Matt Ryan and the Falcons to both beat Vick and his Eagle teammates in September and get an advantage for any tie breaker to qualify for the postseason; I will not pull against Vick because of his past because, best I can tell, he has paid his dues and put his horrible past in the rear view mirror. If you're a Falcon fan, let it go, embrace our fine young QB in Matt Ryan, and get behind our team 100%. To do otherwise is more a reflection of you than either Michael Vick or Matt Ryan both of whom simply want to win a football game.
