I'm not the only one on the Lions bandwagon huh?

I think that you've always got to go out on a limb when making predictions and if you don't then there is no point to making them. We all know certain teams that will win, so woohoo that you can pick those, but can you make the surprise pick?

I think that they have a solid shot. I imagine that the NFCS will for sure get two reps between NO, ATL and TB. The NFC West isn't ready to pump out more than one, so there has to be an extra from the NFCE or NFCN (or three from the NFCS but I don't see that).

I think Chicago is getting older on defense and the team seems to not trust Cutler so I don't see much leadership left there, Minnesota has QB problems. That leaves Detroit, Dallas, NY and Washington. Washington is farrrrr away, leave them out. Dallas has no opportunity to impove (people that have them linked to Aso are high) because they are in a bad financial spot with the cap and will have to CUT talent in order to make the cut. That leaves Detroit and New York. I think that if Matt Stafford stays healthy the Lions will have a lethal offense (young and good combo at the RB spot and a great WR corps. O-line is only problem). The Lions defense looks young and could attract more vets this offseason that would make the team well rounded. I don't think NY is a good team and they'll be losing some talent this offseason.

I made these picks before free agency happened and I'm sticking to them.
