Tandy
You gotta solidify the o-line, especially when you have a franchise QB back there like Ryan. Our o-line is probably the best unit on our team, we've spent a lot of money and high draft picks to solidify that unit. I am excited to see Mike Iupati and Anthony Davis in year two.I'm pretty sure they have a plan in place to take care of the line - and I agree- it's vital that we handle that foremost. I wanted Lupati
9ernation94
i think it also depends on when you joined...if you joined this board before the rule went into effect then you can probably start topics without 100 poststhat makes sense. All that talent but not enough time for Ryan to get his playmakers the ball... that would suck for you guys. Are you guys worried about Ingram in N.O? Personally, I think he'll do great. Doesn't matter - that offense is potent regardless. Pierre Thomas always did well against us - and McCallister was always a problem for us. This won't be any different. It is always a street fight when we play each other. One of the toughest games we play in a given year - regardless of where we are on the charts. I don't see that changing much.

Stopping N.O's passing attack is hard enough, adding Ingram makes their offense even tougher to defend.

4dabirds
Hey what's up guys. I wanted to hear what your expectations are for Julio Jones this coming season. I followed him very closely at Alabama and I believe he was the best WR in this draft. Are you upset by how much your FO gave up to move up for him? Do you believe he was worth all that you gave up? I am expecting big things from Jones and I think the Falcons are the perfect fit for him.Good luck this season and GO 9ERS! :wub:It's a straight up gamble at this point. A top flight receiver would have cost us that much, maybe. If he pans out, then it will have been worth it. Even if he does not have a spectacular rookie season, then I certainly think he will develop very well over the next 3 seasons. I look for the front office to make a trade to get some of those picks back even if it's for a lot of 3rd and 4th round picks. I do know that they have a plan to deal with next years draft. But IMO, I think he is going to light it up.
rcky_mtn_falcon
Good post and I agree. We need a QB,DB,S and WR. I think we could get by with our current WR corp but we desperately need a DB and QB. Without upgrading these positions in FA I don't think we win our pathetic division... thank God you guys are no longer in our division. Are you familiar with Colin Kaepernick? I like the kid. He has impressed everyone in 49ers land. He has the strongest arm out of any rookie QB and of course he has the legs to make plays when a play falls apart. It actually kind of sucks we're not still in the same division. We owe you about 2 decades worth of payback.
rudy
I wish the 9ers could have drafted him lol... How about Crabtree for Jones straight up? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!
KRUNKuno
This guy is going to be a beast.Right from the go.Really, there's no question in my mind. The price was only as big as the results we get, and we're gonna see 'em.He's strong, fast, tall, runs fantastic routes, is a great blocker and can make the highlight reels. Pair that with Matt Ryan, Roddy White and the other weapons we have and i expect to see some fireworks this year, and for a long time.Exactly how I feel about it. Plus he's been practicing with Matt Ryan this summer. Timing is everything. The playbook isn't new to him. It's gonna be fun to see this in action. We got freakin Julio Jones!!! Whodathunkit? Peyton
I expect big things out of him...this year.I hear people say "well, receivers take time to get adjusted to the league".Most of the time that is true, but the Falcons don't believe that Julio Jones is the normal rookie. At least I hope they don't believe it or that was one freaking terrible trade they made.

I believe Julio Jones is on a fast track to ROY (65+ Recpts. 1,000 yds, & 8TDs) and soon-to-be Pro-Bowler, the HOFer. He will be a Falcon fixture & cornerstone for 12 years right along side Matt Ryan.Julio will be considered, in 5 years, to be a 2011 Draft Steal. *The 2011 TD draft will be considered an A+ also. nomak
How about a million apologies for your team ruining my childhoodLOL! No kidding. I've only been blessed to attend one Falcons game and it was when the Dome first opened. It was a Monday night game against the 49ers and we lost 45-3. But, for the past several years since we've faired very well against them.
BigDaddyFalcon21
:PIf Nate would have just held onto the ball we would have won that game!
