9ernation94
Don't worry, Crabtree will become a star if he ever gets a QB that can throw the ball.Agreed. If Vernon Davis can keep up his play it will open things up for Crabs.
Tandy
I bet it was tough when we were in the same division, more so for you than him. :P The only game I have ever been to was the Falcons vs 9ers in ATL. We lost to Joey Harrington... :facepalm:Jerry Rice is the man, can't go wrong there.Yes, I lived through years of disgrace and shame. He was pretty good about not rubbing it in my face when we were taken to school game after game - which is why we are still married happily I guess. However, Christmas Eve - 1995 - that was a game for me. I had my whole family there and you guys were winning until the last minute - our backup QB came in and sealed the deal - it was phenominal - and my one real moment of glory through those years. I cherish that game!
9ernation94
We could have given another pick or two and I would still be elated. Julio is a one of a kind player who, in time, may be the best WR in Falcons history! We got our missing link. Go Falcons!Rodddy White is a beast too, it's scary how good your offense could be in 2011.

9ernation94
What do you guys think about the 9ers landing Harbaugh? I'm excited about the signing... We haven't had an offensive minded head coach in about 5 years. Can't wait to see what he can do with Alex Smith. I can't stand Alex Smith but I think he might be able to do something with him. Tandy
Uh, no. How about Julio Jones and Lofton?Man, that's just wrong! Lofton is an old-school Mike and the real leader of our defense - can't give him up. Julio may just be the answer to our YAC problems - can't give him up either.Willis is a beast though - and I'd love to have him on our team - but I'm really pumped up about Julio - I think he's got a chance to be the next Andre' Johnson several years down the road from now. He has the work ethic - he has the physique and the toughness. He's certainly the most athletic guy of his size I've seen in a while. Get those ball skills honed and this guy will be straight up scary.
Bama4Life
Rodddy White is a beast too, it's scary how good your offense could be in 2011.We just drafted Roddys replacement with Julio. With someone like Roddys to show this beast the ropes and the ability to watch these two awesome receivers play along side each other for the next four to five years is Falcons heaven! 9ernation94
I love Julio Jones probably more than most of you (roll tide roll) but he does have some issues with his hands. At times he drops some easy balls, hopefully that won't happen in the league.I am seriously jealous you guys got him. The last Crimson Tide player we got was Glenn Coffee.... you know how that turned out for us...

The Ravens have really been doing great since he took the helm there. Having a guy come from College to the Pro's is always iffey - and only time will tell. Lord knows we paid the price with Petrino (or should I say PeStinko). The difference is that Harbaugh comes from a coaching family - and there is already NFL coaching in his family. I personally think he's going to do a good job for you there.Your biggest need right now is a QB. After having guys like Montana and Young - it must be horrible dealing with Alex Smith. Bama4Life
Hey what's up guys. I wanted to hear what your expectations are for Julio Jones this coming season. I followed him very closely at Alabama and I believe he was the best WR in this draft. Are you upset by how much your FO gave up to move up for him? Do you believe he was worth all that you gave up? I am expecting big things from Jones and I think the Falcons are the perfect fit for him.Good luck this season and GO 9ERS!

He's working with Julio - so I think he'll help him in that regard. It's really all about concentration - and with mentors like Roddy and Tony Gonzalez - he should be fine.Glenn Coffee - that was definitely a facepalm - I couldn't believe that. Then I thought you were going to lose another pick with Crabtree for a while. Fortunately, that worked out - and the kid looks really good out there. You get a QB that can play the game - and you'll have a deadly combo there.

I think we could get by with our current WR corp but we desperately need a DB and QB. Without upgrading these positions in FA I don't think we win our pathetic division... thank God you guys are no longer in our division. Are you familiar with Colin Kaepernick? I like the kid. He has impressed everyone in 49ers land. He has the strongest arm out of any rookie QB and of course he has the legs to make plays when a play falls apart. Alex Smith had his best year as a pro last season even though we fired our OC and HC during the season last year. If Harbaugh can get Alex to play even decent I think we have enough talent to score some points.

Do you think they are going to end up starting him - or let him sit?I was wondering if they were going to make a stab at McNabb in FA. He knows the WCO and he has some weapons there that he certainly didn't have in Washington.Do you see them going after a veteran like McNabb to get through until the kid is ready - or do you think they'll stick with Smith? Tandy
Who's quoting me with no response? I don't get it?You have to have 100 posts to start a thread. My guess is someone is trying to get their post count up. Either that or they just can't figure out how to type a response.Kind of irritating either way. I do think Colin will start some games for us this season only because Alex Smith sucks. We will bring in a veteran QB but I don't think it will be McNabb (at least I hope not). I think we will bring in Harbaugh's old QB from San Diego in Josh Johnson... Johnson made it public that he would love to play with Harbaugh so we shall see. What about Grimes? do you think he will be back with the Falcons or hit the open market?

They adore him - and he's a fan favorite. Plus, he really wants to stay with the Falcons. They gave him a chance when nobody would and stuck with him in the beginning when he struggled.I'm worried about the OL - we have 3 guys who will be hitting FA. We have to do something - but I'm not sure what they plan to do. I think they will re-sign Clabo and maybe Blalock - then let Dahl walk. We have some guys they've been grooming for the past couple of years - so I'm dying to see what happens there.
Tandy
I made this thread and I only had like 19 post. Maybe they took that rule off. Would make sense because people were just posting one word over and over til they got enough to start a thread.Honestly then, I have no idea why he's doing that. Our o-line is probably the best unit on our team, we've spent a lot of money and high draft picks to solidify that unit. I am excited to see Mike Iupati and Anthony Davis in year two.
