9ernation94
Hey what's up guys. I wanted to hear what your expectations are for Julio Jones this coming season. I followed him very closely at Alabama and I believe he was the best WR in this draft. Are you upset by how much your FO gave up to move up for him? Do you believe he was worth all that you gave up? I am expecting big things from Jones and I think the Falcons are the perfect fit for him.Good luck this season and GO 9ERS!

Tandy
Most of us are extremely excited to have him. As far as what it took to go get him - we have a divided house on that. Some think they gave away the farm and others feel the move was bold and made a statement.I happen to be one of the ones who trust the front office - and feel they are going to do what it takes to make us successful.I love the pick - and what we gave up was exactly what it should be for the spot we picked in - so we didn't "overpay" - we just made the decision to go up to that spot and did it. I jut hope we can manuever some of those picks back when the lockout is lifted.Bottom line - I think we are all looking forward to seeing him wearing that #11 and lining up opposite Roddy. It's a joyful thought!
HouseofEuphoria
This guy is going to be a beast.Right from the go.Really, there's no question in my mind. The price was only as big as the results we get, and we're gonna see 'em.He's strong, fast, tall, runs fantastic routes, is a great blocker and can make the highlight reels. Pair that with Matt Ryan, Roddy White and the other weapons we have and i expect to see some fireworks this year, and for a long time. There are just too many weapons on your squad that it's going to cause matchup problems across the board. You have to respect the run game with Turner... if you do that then you are leaving yourself open for Matty Ice to sling the ball all over the field. You have a GREAT WR corp and a hall of fame TE in gonzalez... I really hope we don't play you guys in the playoffs... well because you have owned us the last two seasons... Atlanta will win the South with a 12-4 record I think.Go 9ers

I think before Ryan got to ATL the best the Falcons have done before that is 2 back to back winning seasons. God, I wish we had a real QB. I like Colin Kaeprnick, I think he has what it takes to be a starter in this league.

Tandy
Thanks for the feedback! I love the sig! you are a superfan! did I see some 49ers memorabilia in there?! :wub:Yes, I've been married to a 9ers fan for well over 30 years now. Made life tough when we were in the same division (lol). Anyway, he's also a Falcons fan now. We live in Georgia and have Season Tickets. It literally took me 30 years to turn him into a Falcon fan, and he still loves the 9ers, so I compromise on the room. I can't see anything wrong with a class act like Rice in the room - although I hated his guts when he played! (lol)
FlyHighFalcons
I wish the 9ers could have drafted him lol... How about Crabtree for Jones straight up? Don't worry, Crabtree will become a star if he ever gets a QB that can throw the ball.

We lost to Joey Harrington... :facepalm:Jerry Rice is the man, can't go wrong there.

You hit the jackpot with that one. We'll give you Jamaal Anderson, Peria Jerry, Michael Jenkins (fantastic blocking WR) and throw in our OC - how about that? Bama4Life
We could have given another pick or two and I would still be elated. Julio is a one of a kind player who, in time, may be the best WR in Falcons history! We got our missing link. Go Falcons!
